as I said before, for my reasons I chose a c-birth and it was fine.As to the lady, but thats the wrong word to use on her,who called me selfish,I don't think so,and intend on raising my children with decency, unlike by the sounds her children will be,as Kris puts it.The most important thing is being a good mother,I had no problems with a section, and for you mandy, maybe it is the best way to go.

Hey Charlotte, that women does'nt understand about a planned c-birth.I was delighted with my choice. If I could not have had my elective section then we would be stuck with one child. That birth was horrendous,no way was I going to suffer the 2nd time. What a difference, enjoying the relaxed birth.

I had an emergency c-section with my first child after 18 hours of labor and a v____al delivery with the second after 13 hours of labor. This is my third pregnancy and I have opted for a scheduled c-section this time. Not because I thought the c-section was better than the v____al delivery, because it wasn't. Contrary to what some ignorant people who have posted on this site may believe, v____al births are actually much less painful than c-sections; at least this was my experience. So, I'm not opting for a c-section because I'm a big sissy who can't take the pain, I'm opting for the c-section due to the fact that I'm unable to go into labor naturally and must be induced. Once induced, I remain in hard labor for a really long time with no rest between contractions and the epidurals only work for the first couple of hours on me and then begin to lose their effect. This is not only strenuous on me, but its also very strenuous on the babies. By the time I deliver, me and the baby both have fevers and I'm so tired and worn out that I can't even enjoy my baby afterwards; all I want to do is sleep. I almost hemorraghed to death after having my first child (c-section). I couldn't even hold her for a week, because I was so sick that I couldn't even sit up. The v____al delivery was so much more enjoyable, but I don't want to take the chance of being in labor for that long again only to wind up having a c-section anyway and being completeley worn out with absolutely no immune system to speak of. I'd rather just schedule a c-section and get it over with. As far as taking drugs is concerned, I only took extra strength Tylenol afterward with both, even though I was offered something much stronger. For some, this is not the sissy's way out, but the best course of action for both mother and child. I'd like to see the woman who types in upper case letters (but is too much of a coward to post her name), have a c-section. I'll bet you a million dollars she'd change her tune real quick when she realized how painful it really is. By the way, we don't opt for c-sections for the hell of it, you uneducated drop out!! Nor does it make us any less of a woman. I think we're all quite secure with our womanhood, but you, on the other hand, seem to have some severe issues! Ever thought about seeing a therapist??? Oh, by the way, my scar is beautiful and I'm very proud of it!

Hi! I recently spoke to a friend who is going to have a scheduled c because of concerns she has in her v____al area and she says she is too old to push. Personally, I will go with the pushing and will only have a c if necessary. I read that the chances of survival with natural for the mother are 98.5% vs. 94% with a c. That's enough for me to try natural. Plus, the recovery of a c is more difficult than pushing. Remember, pushing is "natural" a c-section is "surgery" which requires the body to heal in response to invasion which means the body works harder, often causing more pain. Ultimately it is your choice, but thought I'd share my research with you.

Can I just tell you shelby and Lady G.In my case the v____al birth was much more painful, and in a way harder to recover from than my planned section. Also I think it is a good idea to discuss this on this forum,as well as the section area because over 35 there is an increase in interventions. For me,as I said the natural birth was just so painful,it got worse when I thought it could'nt get any worse. When they cut me down below it was sore.In compara__sion,the section was elected maybe I had a positive att_tude,the recovery was not as bad as I imagined, again, maybe I had people saying it was bad,and ended up not so bad as I thought. It was my choice, and I am happy with it.As someone said how could you chose a surgical procedure, over natural.I believe that the thought of being cut open may freak out some ladies, but in this day and age, with the pain medications they have it really suited me.
