SANN - August 16

Sorry ladies ... made lots of typo error this morning. I meant to say .. Perl - vacation must have been great and On my updates - my docs said to start testing this weekend. Have a great day ladies : )

Perl - August 16

Trying: Have you been getting acid reflux all along or is it just now related to your stomach flu or because you're farther along? I've had a few episodes where I could feel the acid creeping up my throat area but lately I've just been feeling a burning feeling. I've been getting uip to take my Pepsid at 2 or 3 in the morning. Sann: yes, vacation was great mostly because it's the only time of the year that my too busy husband stops for an extended time to relax and people at his office stop calling him. I relaxed too, but it's good to be back home. **What is "dpo"? Sorry I'm sure I've seen it before but I'm drawing a blank right now.

Perl - I started with acid reflux around 20 wks...high righ ob said zantac 75mg two times a day was safe...so started taking zantac...usually 1 time a day and sometimes 2. Now I take it 2 times a day and add Tums...but nothing seems to really help. I called doctors office today and they said that was all I could do. I might try something different like mylanta or something to see if it "coats" my throat. I don't really have any heartburn pain. Burning throat, constant need to burp (gross!) especially if lying down and recently the reflux is pretty frequent if lying down as well. I prop up with like 2 pillows in bed but that has stopped working this week. I hope it gets better as my system gets closer back to its current normal! DPO - days past ovulation...when you can TEST!

SANN - August 17

Hello ladies : ) Hope the both of you feel better today. Sounds painful all these acid refluxes but I think it's definitely good to have them rather than not when you're pg : ) I can't wait to have them. If my temp don't dip and af doesn't show ... it would be testing time this Saturday (20dpo) or do you think I should test Friday morning instead. No other signs except sore bbs still. And I had this weird dream again (2nd time now) ... dreamt that I have twin baby boys. Tell me please ... did anyone of you had "baby dream" before you found out you were pg. I certainly didn't with last pregnancy. TTYL : )

At first I was kind of excited about the acid reflux, going with the old wives tale that she will have hair...but now it is not so exciting! ha ha...they say eat bland foods...but I can't figure out how to get my fiber in and eat veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, even lettuce bother me, tomatoes are high in acid)! HOWEVER, I am excited that the u/s showed HAIR!!! :-) SANN - what brand pg test do you like to use?

Perl - August 17

Trying: You've been dealing with the reflux for some time now. Please tell me it won't get worse. I'm in in week 26 now. Interesting that you mentioned Zantac, I saw a tv commercial for it yesterday and I wondered if pregnant women could use it--you answered that question. I've been using Pepsid which helps a lot with the burpy, crampy, bloaty feeling but does nothing to relieve the burning feeling in my throat. Thanks for the dpo definition. It makes sense now and means that Sann is ovulating right about now (or soon) especially since it will be time to test this weekend. Sann: you're right, it's okay to have these digestive problems/symptoms and I guess it's normal. I don't want to sound like a complainer because I know it could be much worse (like vomitting all day all 9 months) and it is a reminder that the pregnancy is moving right along. But I still wish I could sleep better at night without the heartburn problems. Baby dream? Twin boys--oh my, what a lot of work that would be! I had a baby dream but not before I was pregnant. I was right after I tested positive that I saw someone holding a bouncing, smiley, gorgeous baby boy on their lap and in my dream I said "oh what a cute baby boy you have!" Then they told me "this is your baby". It was a helpful dream at the time because I was still in that phase where I was wondering if I would be able to carry this baby past the 1st trimester or not, so it was a comfort to me. A lot of dreams do come true--as it turns out I'm having a boy (like in the dream) so I'll cross my fingers and hope your dream will come true!

tryingx3 - August 17

Dream question - I didn't dream prior to knowing either pg was positive. I did dream after first m/c that it had been a boy...very clearly! Once you are pg you definitely can dream weird things too...I took tylenol pm a total of 2x so far and had WACKY dreams - didn't like them!

SANN - August 18

Hi girls : ) PERL ... I tested for ovulation 18 days ago hence 18dpo. It's testing for pregnancy ... I'm taking about hahaha : ) Anyway ... I did a hpt this morning (I couldn't wait any longer) and it was a faint +ve test line I got. Well ... as usual I'm going to test again tomorrow morning to see if the test line gets darker and on Sunday ... going to get one those CB digital ones to test in the evening ( I ran out of those). I prefer to use the CB digital ones to test for pregnancy. TRYINGX3 ... Are you feeling better today? Ladies ... Do the both of you think I'm pregnant ... since it's a faint line which was what I got too with last pregnancy. Oh ..... I'm kind of having some mixed feeling. I'm happy and excited that I tested +ve for pregnancy but I'm also really scared too ..... you know what I mean. Anyway ... I saw my physician today, she said to do a blood test and u/s for confirmation next week but I don't think we'll be able to see a heart beat yet .... right? According to LMP ... I'm probably only 5 weeks. What do the both of you think ... will there be a fetal pole or just a yolk sac? I praying really hard my dreams come true : ) I'm feeling a little exhausted and sleepy, got to take a nap ... I'll check in later : )

tryingx3 - August 18

SANN - that sounds WONDERFUL!!! Did the + show up in the time recommended by the test? At 5wks, I would think they might see fetal pole, but possibly not really be worried about seeing heartbeat until a little later (into wk 6)? Funny, how you forget stuff like that! I'll be asking those same questions, if we do this again! CB = clear blue easy? I think I used First Response. I am feeling like me again - a pregnant me...but me nonetheless. I do blood work again on Monday for iron, thyroid, and something else (35 wk antibody screen?). I don't really know what that is!

tryingx3 - August 18

Oooooh - I am so excited for you. I hope tomorrow READS *************PREGNANT!!**************

Perl - August 18

Sann: oops I goofed up on the dpo--I haven't been getting much sleep the past couple of days and obviously it's affecting my brain. : ) It's even better news then that you're testing for pregancny and got a positive even if a faint positive is still a positive. When I tested using the First response stick (I've never seen the digital ones) mine was a faint line too--it appeared very quickly but it was still a very faint line. I'm very optimistic and so excited for you!!! Please update tomorrow if you can and definitely after the u/s--I think it will be too early to be able to see a heartbeat yet so please don't freak out if you don't. I really hope this is your month!

SANN - August 18

Hi ladies ... Thanks : ) My mind's drawing a blank too, I forgot to test this morning. Will update the both of you again on that one. TRYINGX3 ... bloodworks @35weeks testing for antibodies, is that a norm? How's the name game going on? PERL ... Can't find First Respones here. The popular ones are Clear blue easy and Clear blue digital. I'm sorry you haven't gotten even sleep .... why? Is it a 2nd trimester thing? Well soon you be in the 3rd : ) Ladies, I feeling weird this morning ... mind is drawing blank, happy, worried, not convinced that with just 1 test .... all rolled together, can't figure out what I'm feeling at this point ... is it the hormones or what? Any ideas????

Perl - August 19

Sann: I'm anxious to hear your results!! I have an idea of how you feel not being convinced. I think part of your disbelief and worry is hormones and maybe part of it is your history of miscarriage. Once you've gone through a m/c I think most of us women put our guards up until we're really sure. I wasn't convinced after my one hpt either, not even the sore b___sts and the nausea convinced me, I think it took an ultrasound to convince me I was really pregnant. I know you're a very positive person though and staying positive now is going to help you tremendously until soon hopefully you'll just be ecstatic! **About naming. . .I'm going with Peter as a first name and have not decided on a middle name yet. Trying: have you picked a name for your baby girl? ***BTW, since we were just talking about dreams, my dh told me I was laughing in my sleep last night. I wonder if it was the baby tickling me or some good dream I can't remember.** Hope to hear more good news from you soon Sann!

SANN - August 19

Good morning Ladies : ) I tested again ... this morning with a digital hpt, it's say pregnant and the test line is definitely darker. So it's definite right? I should go in for an u/s and blood test next week, yah!. What do you think they will be testing for other than beta hcg and progesterone? PERL ..... Peter sounds very nice : ) You were laughing in your sleep .....mmmmm : ) Whatever the dream may be ... it definitely something happyyyyyyy : ) Oh wow ... you mean you can feel it when baby tinkles you with his little fingers, amazingggggg : ) Tryingx3 ... Hope your doing well : ) Have a fun weekend !!!!

tryingx3 - August 19

Sann - I just knew you stayed up half the night thinking about TESTING! Hope this finds you with another STRONG +! No name still here...we have shared our "lists"...but have not committed to anything and my husband now has decided he might need to look at some name books! I told him we really need to get serious!! The furniture we ordered last Saturday was evidently in a warehouse close to us and we were able to pick it up TODAY!! We really like it - just one problem...all of our trim work (doors, molding, etc...) is white and we ordered creamy white furniture. We knew it was creamy white when we did it but didn't think it would be a big deal...now we aren't sure, but like the furniture so much we don't want to take it back. My husband thinks we paint the trim in just that bedroom...but do you do that??

Perl - August 20

SANN: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! O my gosh, this is it, this is definitely IT!!! I'm soooo excited for you. When I was first tested other than my own hpt it was by the nurse at my allergy specialist's office--it was basically the same urine test that I did except that she dipped the pregnancy test stick in the urine sample. Then the following week, because of my history and because I was cramping right after I got my bfp, they did an earlier u/s at 6w6d. My blood tests were one week later: my doctor did not check the hormone levels because here they only do that if the woman has had 3 or more miscarriages but I know it's a routine check for many other women even on their first pregnancy. They mainly checked my blood type and for other routine things like red/white blood cell count, tuberculosis, HIV, hepatatis, etc. plus a glucose test for me. I would imagine and hope that they keep a closer watch on you Sann given your history. Congratulations again!!! Give your baby all the rest and food that he/she needs right now but enjoy the moment!!! When is your u/s?******Tryingx3: my friend and her husband had a baby a couple of months ago and when I went to visit two days after her c-section, they were still debating names at the hospital, can you believe that?! It's not easy choosing the right name. : ) Yeah, I'd paint the trim in your baby's nursery if you have the time for it. You could try to match the baby's furniture or just paint it a totally different contrasting color. I'm trying to choose a wall color myself. Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies!!!! Congrats again Sann!
