Hey ladies - I kind of thought my stomach looked like it had dropped a little this morning...even did the rest my arms on my tummy move to see if it "felt" different - wasn't sure. A lady that sees me every day said - hey, it kind of looks like you have dropped a little...so...hmmm...maybe I have. I don't feel any additional pressure low or going to bathroom anymore frequently.

Trying: I look forward to the aches and pains going away. I don't mind cramps but it's hard to function with low back pain. Dh and I went to our first birthing cla__s tonight. It was very informative and we learned all about what dropping does---more pressure on your bladder and your back but lesss pressure on your stomach and diaphragm. So are you feeling like you can breathe more easily and eat a little bit more than usual now? COL: I've heard lots of great things about acupressure and I hope that will make a difference for you. Sann: we're both sleepy but for different reasons. If I can just get a good night's rest tonight I'll be caught up on my sleep. I remember how early in my pregnancy I would fall asleep so easily once or twice every day and take a deep sleep nap. One time I thought I'd just rest my eyes for a couple of minutes before getting in my car to go to meet my friends for a book club meeting--I slept for 1 1/2 hour and missed the meeting completely. Another time I fell asleep at a family gathering with lots of loud noise and about 30 people in the room--and I'm usually a light sleeper! : ) Enjoy your naptimes!

Hi ladies, sorry for not writing yesterday .. I was so tired and had to nap on and off the whole of yesterday. Tryingx3 ... that's good news right ... carrying lower : ) And sound like you're doing better too! Perl ... Hope your back get better . Oh yesss !!!!!! I'm feeling sleepy 90% of the time and I'm totally drained ... maybe it's due the sleepless nights(waking up every few hours all night) that I had been. Meal time aren't good either ... haven't been able to eat the regular full meal .... feels like I was going to throw up if I do and also burping after a meal is bad. Hope I don't sound a "complain queen" ... I think, it's better to have them than not at all, I would be worried sick : ) Well, I had some brown spotting again yesterday afternoon but this it didn't last half as long. I SHOULDN'T BE WORRIED, RIGHT? Anyway ... my appt (ob/gynae) got messed up again, I'll only be able to see her on Monday. The nurse said it would be too early for the u/s to find anything. And we're crossing our fingers for things to be OK. Take care & TTYL : )

Sann: too bad about the appointment being rescheduled but it's probably for the best because if they had not seen a heartbeat on account of being too early and then they would have asked you to go back again---it might have worried you unnecessarily. So you'll be at 7 weeks next week right? You'll probably at that point be where you can see the tiny heartbeat on your ultrasound. And No, you should not worry about spotting. My advice nurse told me that spotting during pregnancy is normal but bright red bleeding is not. So as long as it's just spotting don't be too concerned. I know that's easier said than done. Just keep being your most positive self as always!! : ) Trying:I"m only 27 weeks and I feel really uncomfortable in bed at night. How much worse will this get? Not too much worse I hope. I tried to take a nap yesterday afternoon because I was exhausted from getting up at 3:00 in the morning but every position made my back feel achey. So I got up and cleaned the kitchen instead. I slept from 10pm to 5am this morning with 3 bathroom trips during sleep so I'm making progress! I have an appointment with my OB tomorrow, wish me well!

Perl - have you tried different pillows. I sleep with a small one between my knees - might help back pain. I have scoliosis in my lower back and believe it or not have done spectacular! Figure that pain will come from actually holding her on my hip! Ha Ha. I have had several people say a full body pillow helped them. I have also had nights where I tossed all of the pillows and just used one for my head - like I had too much to keep up with at night and that was keeping me awake.

Trying: I'd think the scoliosis would cause problems now but it's great to hear that you're doing fine in the lower back department. I do have a fluffy body pillow and husband bought me a night bean bag type pillow which works wonders but it's still a tossing and turning game every night. Last night was not bad I sleep soundly (minus bathroom trips) until 6 am. THen I realized it was because baby had not moved--that worried me. He's moving now but nowhere near as much as in the past week. Went to my ob today. All seems fine. Baby measured 29 cm (I should be 27) but dr says it's okay. My weight is less than what she'd like to see at this stage so I have permission to eat more. If only this heartburn would go away I'd eat a whole lot more no problem--I love to eat. Off I go to get some rest and eat some food!

Don't know what a night bean bag is--meant to say nice bean bag; it's round like a ball but can change to pretty much any shape and position and gives firm support that molds to your body. Maybe I need more pillows but then there would be no space for my dh in the bed--ha ha!

Yay, Trying!!! You sound very upbeat and looks like things are going great! I hope I feel as good as you sound when I'm 36 weeks. I forgot to mention that I booked all my prenatal appointment from now until my 38th week. At my 38th week my OB will be gone for the week!!!! I freaked out and told the scheduler that I was not happy about that, what if the baby decides to come two weeks early? She laughed and told me that I'll be okay. Am I being paranoid? Isn't it possible for babies to come 2 weeks early?

Perl - my ob is gone week 39! We are in the same boat! It will all work out and we sure can't change their schedule. Here if the baby comes after hours - we still get an oncall doctor, so who is to say I'd even get my OB if she were in town! I am trying to remain calm about that! Easier said now! Ha Ha We did offer to go on vacation with her! By the way, scheduling your appointments in advance - it is WILD how fast they go. I thought when I did that it was FOREVER out and now I am getting so close!! SANN - how are you???

Yeah, what's up Sann? We haven't heard from you in a while. I hope you're not feeling too queasy and sleepy (but it would be normal if you did.) ****Trying: your doc's out on week 39?! I don't like this boat we're in. But, you're absolutely right about after hours--I'll get whoever is on-call too then. I guess there are never any guarantees.

Perl - just think it COULD be your husband! ha ha A co-worker of mine ended up delivering his wifes child and she had to talk to the 911 operator and interpret what she was saying for him to do (his primary language was Spanish)! :-)

Trying: my husband? Ha! Although he's a fine, physically strong, big masculine specimen of manhood, he would probably pa__s out at the first sight of blood. : ) But I guess in a bind we'd have to make do--I've heard of that happening. About your co-worker's wife-WOW!!! Imagine having to go through labor pains AND having to tell someone how to help deliver your baby--poor woman, or should I say lucky woman maybe her labor was very short and that's why they didn't make it to a hospital (?) Either way-wow!

Perl - your husband sounds remarkably like mine! ha ha It was QUICK labor and her 2nd - so at least they had some idea....they thought it was pretty neat after all was said and one. I am beginning to worry about SANN!!
