I started with an hcg of 140 on the 1st day I tested positive at home - as long as its doubling don't worry about it! Best wishes. I am just over 14 weeks!

Your #s are good, as long as they rise by 60% within 48 hours then they are fine. Congratulations!!

good luck lara42, hope things will keep going well with you, have question though, is this your first pregnancy? i am TTC and i am 41, i am just trying to know that there are people out there who conceived after 40 with there first child. they say its easy for women who had kids before, but its hard for the one who is trying for the first time :) good luck agian , god bless you all

Kristin, Hi. My last HCG level was done on Friday March 31 I will know the result on Monday!! I am a little nervous! I have a son who is 12 years old and this is my second pregnancy but I have been trying for two years. Good luck to everyone.

Hi Lara, I have faith everything will be just fine..My levels started out quite low as well (142 at 16 days post ovulation)..My second test was 3310..Then 5550..Then 12500 on last count. I had an ultrasound and saw the yolk sac, tiny fetus, and a heartbeat was seen.. I was 6 weeks and 1 day at that point. Good luck to you..keep us posted! Xo Kristin

Hi kristin. I am very nervous as I told you on March 29 my HCG was 1519 I did another one in 48 hours on march 31 and I got the result today of 2340. So it did not double but I read on the site you sent me that when HCG level reach 1200 and above it needs more then 48 hours to double. The doctor insist that I do it every 48 hours. I am very nervous ! is my HCG level risong still ok you think?The doctor is giving me an ultrasound tomorrow to make sure that the baby planted in the right spot . They told me not to panic tomorrow if I don't see the heart beat because it still early and eventually they will send me for a second one next week too. Please pray for me! I am very very nervous about tomorrow.

my hcg on march 20 was 36640 and on march 28 was 69700, did not double but docter says at about 8-10 weeks they elevate

Hi Lara, Was the testing done at the exact same time? Even an hour can make a signifigant difference. When they say doubling that is approximate. I think that website even indicates 65-80% is also good increase. Does your doctor seem to be concerned?..I would not pay too close attention to the numbers..the amounts are rising and that is GREAT! they are not levelling out or dropping..so that means things are viable..If I were you I would insist on having an ultrasound which would help eleviate your stress which is not good. I know how you feel..EXACTLY...I still think you are well within the averages if not on the higher end of things. I have to admit..even though I saw my little tiny fetus with a beating heart..I feel I am not in the clear at all...I come to this site often for re-a__surance or guidance..it is all we can go by..other than our own intuition and time itself. I will pray for you..I have great faith things will go well for you... :) XO Kristin

Thanks a lot kristin. I am going tomorrow morning for an ultrasound. As for my HCG level the last two were done at the same time but the ones before it was done in different time so I am thinking maybe there are hours diffrences since I started to test every 48 hours. My doctor told me he wants to check dating and viability and he told me not to worry if I don't see a heartbeat because I am still 6 weeks and one day. Tomorrow is a big day for me. Hi kristin. I just came back from ultrasound. They saw a very tiny tiny sac in my uterus but they could not see any fetus or a heartbeat. They said I am 6 weeks and one day pregnant so it is too early to see. My doctor office called me and told me that my HCG level went to 3998 on Friday was 2300 . The doctor's secretary told me that the doctor dent me for ultrasound just to make sure it is not an epotic pregnancy and she said as long as they saw a sac on your uterus it is a good sign and when my HCH go up to 6000 or 7000 they will send me for another ultrasound. She advised me to relax as much as I can and not to stress out about it because my hcg numbers are not doubling quiet well. It just I am curious why are they so worried about Hcg level and I did read in mnay sites that HCG when it goes over 1200 it needs 72 to 96 hours to double and when I look at my number I don't see them below the level. Now I ahve to wait for HCG level to rise more so I can go for an ultrasound and have a peace of mind. I am just very sacred and worried Kristin and don't know what to do to relax. Ia m trying my best and I am praying for myself and for you and for everyone who is going through the same thing. I just need to be patient and wait for the next ultrasound to have a peace of mind. Do you think it is too early to detect a heart beat and a fetus in 6 weeks? they said they saw the sac but it is too tiny to see inside it and that it is tooe arly to see.

It can truly be to early to see the fetus..Mine was 2mm or so, so it was tiny. She said she saw the yolk sac too and a flash where the heart was beating. It can still be way to early to tell. Your next ultrasound will definitely show results that are more conclusive. There is a chance that you may have ovulated later than suspected if your last period was Feb 20th..Then that means if you have a 28 day cycle for example you would have ovulated on March 7th or so. If your cycles are longer then those dates the date would again be bumped up. So that said..that could make you less pregnant then they might a__sume..and therefore you would definitely not be able to see a heart beat and your levels would not even be in question. Try not to read into it too much..I tried to to tell myself that there was nothing I could do personally to change things and stressing was bad for everyone..it truly is up to the little one inside.. if the conditions are right he/she will prevail!..I know this doesn't make things any better but I still think things are going to be just fine with you ...Really I do. Please keep me posted...relax..and do something special for yourself..you deserve it my friend! XO Kristin
