Hiya Lovedblessings... well, it's finally here, eh? I'm so excited for you. I still have another 11 weeks or so to go yet. I am thinking positive thoughts for you and hope all goes really smooth for you. I'm sure all will be great! I don't know if you'll read this before you go on Wednesday?? If you do, then you'll know I'm thinking about you... I can't wait to hear how it all went, though with a newborn, I'm sure you'll be so busy you won't have much time to share so much with me... still, I'll look for your next post everytime I come on here. Good luck with everything and take care of you!

Well what an experience. I will give you the short version now and try to give more detail when I'm feeling better! We went in to be induced on the 4th. The doctor examined me. The babies head was engaged and I was 2 cm dilated. By the time I reached 8 cm I had the urge to push, the babies heart beat had dropped below 100 twice so the nurses changed my position then checked how dilated I was still at 8 cm and thought they felt what was chubby checks. However another nurse examined me and as much as she hoped they were chubby checks her concern was that the baby had flipped. The doctor was called and he ran into the room 10 minutes later, my water had already been broken. (I was very scared at this point since his heart rate had dropped again) The doctor gave performed an ultrasound and sure enough my little boy had flipped around, bum down. I was prepped for an emergency c-section and my little man was born at 4:41pm weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces. Due to my blood pressure dropping down really low during the surgery I didn't get to see him for some time. However my DH took some pictures and brought them to me. With birth I guess we just have to expect the unexpected. I have so much more to tell you however I better get some rest since my bp is still low as well as my iron levels Talk to you soon!

Tracy88 - April 14

Glad to hear that everything is ok. I was so scared because this morning I felt a ton of movement and thought to myself.....after all this time upside down, this child better not flip hersef now that I am about to give birth! You are right.... Just goes to show anything can happen. Take care of that blood pressure woman! and what a healthy weight the bean was born at! My little one will probably weigh in at about 6 pounds when she's born. That's if I don't walk around for 5 more weeks 100% effaced and already dilating! Congratulations again man!!!!

Hi Tracy, It's amazing how they can turn themselves last minute.. I guess he really didn't want to come out! Hard to tell if you will give birth any day or she may just make you wait the five weeks out. As long as she is a healthy weight. You must be so excited to hold her in your arms. I love nursing my little man, he holds my finger and squeezes tight. Just looking into his eyes makes me melt!

Tracy88 - April 15

Oh, I would melt too. I think that's what I'm looking forward to the most....those moments of solitude and bonding. Truth be told, I really don't think I can possibly go five more weeks. My body hurts more and more every day. When I get up in the middle of the night to pee, everything aches. Several times a day when I pee, I get a long healthy contraction. My back is starting to hurt too sometimes, so I just don't see how I'm not going to burst soon. I am sooooo uncomfortable. And man, if you saw my stomach....it is LOW. Do they have you on any meds for your blood pressure or are you just trying to control it with rest since you are BFeeding?

Hiya Loved... I was so happy to finally see your post on here. Wow, what an experience, can't wait for the next chapter though. I'm glad that you and baby are doing well. So, you had to have the c-section, eh? That is a big fear of mine... I'm terrified of them having to cut me open. I really hope you're managing okay??? Do you have any extra help at home? I've heard that after a c-section, you're not supposed to do anything other than take care of your little one! Have you decided on a name for your little guy yet??? I'm still rooting for Jackson, but I really like Sawyer too... though I know you said hubby didn't like Jackson. Your little man was born at a great weight... were all your sons that size? Mine was 8lbs 2oz... but my hubby thinks our little girl is going to be born early, thus she'll be much smaller... my fingers are crossed for an 8 pounder! Hey, you take really good care of yourself and your guy and when you get a chance, I'm really interested in hearing more about your experience. TTFN

Lovedblessings - April 17

Good Morning, Deborah my DH was ok with Jackson after he saw what I went through. When the baby's heart rate dropped we knew something was wrong. He was very frightened when the doctor ran into the room. The doctor explained either the baby or I could die. after that the name didn't mean that much to him. Things are crazy in the house at the moment. The oldest boys and I are sick with the flu, Jackson has a bit of a cold. My incision had to be drained last night from the infection and the medication had to be increase. Both little guys have sore bums too, we are flashing lots of bare bums around the house to try and get them to dry out. They are the cuttest little bums at that age! How are you feeling? Does your DH have any predictions for a due date.. your right about your daughter will be smaller. My first son was 5 pounds at 32 weeks, my second was 7 20 ounces at 34 weeks and the last was 8 pounds 4 ounces. Most of my family is out west so that makes it tough. Deborah given the choice between natural and c-section for pain I found that the c-section was easier, even the after pain was much easier to deal with. The is some abdominal pain but I not sure if that is from having my tubes tied. The two natural births I ached for weeks from the st_tiches, the bleeding is also much heavier with natural child birth. The baby is crying.. off to nurse! Take care

Hiya Loved... can't believe it's been so long since I've been on here. Time seems to go by so fast at times, and crawls by at others. Wow... so, the little guy is Jackson, eh? That's a good strong name, and I can imagine that after what you went through, your hubby would do just about anything for you. I guess the doctor running in and saying either of you could die would frighten the c___p out of anyone, especially someone who loves you so much. That must have been so hard. I guess everyone must be better in your home now??? How's the incision doing? Has the infection cleared up now? I'm still terrified about having to go through a C-section... even though people always say it's not so bad. I'm glad it all worked out okay for you in the end... I guess the wonderful labour I wished for you didn't quite come true... maybe it'll work for me??? *crosses her fingers* I can imagine having your family so far away is hard for you... my family moved out west 25 years ago, and after a few years alone back east... I decided to come out in 85 and have been here since. It's never easy having them so far away. As for me... I've been getting so tired lately. I'm 34 weeks tomorrow, and can't wait to have this all over with now. My feet have started to swell up, which I never experienced with my son, so that's not pleasant... they're achy and burning all the time too. I have to pee every 30 - 60 minutes and that's getting a little old now! But the worst part has been the heartburn. I saw the doc on Thursday, and he gave me a prescription for it. It's still there mildly, but nothing like it was. It would keep me up at night, and if I did manage to fall asleep, it would wake me up later on and I'd be up for hours with the pain, and my throat felt like it was on fire! As for predictions... we have many. Son thinks she'll come on my due date of June 19th... hubby thinks she'll come early on June 4th... sister says June 11th... and I'm going for June 9th! Everyone says I'm not going to have a small baby, cause my belly is HUGE, so we'll just have to wait and see how big she is. She's not moving as much these days, and it concerns me somewhat, but whenever I do the fetal movement count... she always comes through, so I'll have to stay positive... but at 42, it's not always easy. Anyways... hope to hear more about you and the little guy, and sorry for taking so long to respond... I'll do better next time. Take care!

Hey Deborah969 - I had emergency surgery two weeks ago (ectopic pregnancy and uterine pregnancy)...anyways - had 5 incisions and obviously needed some sort of pain relief....the doctor gave me a script for Tylenol with codeine....my wonderful doctor said the baby would be fine re: taking it for pain relief. So try not to worry - I think you did just fine. We have to manage our pain when we are preggers!

deborah969 - May 8

Hiya Redmondsky... thanks for the post... it's been so long ago now, that I don't even think about the Tylenol #3. I've since talked about it with my doctor and he said it's the pain meds of choice for pregnant women... so, I'm good to go now. I'm a bit confused about what you said though... an ectopic pregnancy is terminated, isn't it? And if so, pain meds wouldn't matter after that? Anyways... thanks for the post, and take care.

Lovedblessings - May 9

Hi Deborah, everyone is great in the house now... thanks for asking! We finally all had the flu and lived to tell about it. Boy it was nasty!!! How are you feeling? that belly most just be growing. June is just around the corner. I bet you can't wait at this point. The last part is always the hardest. Don't worry about having a c section, it is less painful to recover than a v-birth. The heartburn is nasty in the third trimestor hopefully your daughter will move down and the heartburn will go away. My incisision still isn't closed but it is getting much better. Hope you are putting your feet up and taking it easy. Take care

deborah969 - May 21

Hiya Loved.... well, another 2 weeks has pa__sed since my last post! Guess I didn't do so well, eh? LOL So, the incision still isn't closed??? Well, maybe it is now? I wasn't aware it took so long for it to heal... wow! I was glad to hear that you all got through the flu okay... that must have been so tough for you. How's the little guy doing? Has he put on much weight, is he nursing okay, has he slept through the night yet? My feet are still giving me problems... but the right one is the real killer. I get this pain in my heel so bad that I can barely walk, and the pain shoots up my leg. It's not easy to describe, and only the right foot... weirdsville. The heartburn has been manageable since I started taking the meds for it... but I'm so big now, that I am really uncomfortable. It's hard to sleep and sometimes so hard to just catch my breath. I'm at 36 weeks now, so hopefully it's just around the corner, and she comes a bit early rather than a bit late. Cross your fingers for me. I don't know if it's possible, but can you post a picture of your little guy on here? It would be great to see him. Anyways, take care of yourself and hope to hear from you soon. Ciao for now.

Lovedblessings - May 22

Hi Deborah, it's so great to hear from you. I was wondering how you were doing. Boy, the weeks are really counting down for you. Here's hoping she arrives early for you! Sorry to hear about your leg and heal pain, that must be tough being so far along. I'm sure your not as big as you feel. sorry , Jackson is fussing, i'll try to catch up tomorrow

deborah969 - May 23

Hiya Loved... having Dani come early would be GREAT! But we don't want her too early, as it would be nice to have a plump baby. I'd be happy if she's around the 8lb marker. My feet are still hurting, especially the right one, but now that my blood pressure is a bit elevated, the doctor wants me to rest, rest, and rest ! I do not want to end up in the hospital cause I absolutely hate them, so I'm doing as little as possible.... though unfortunately my husband is out of town today, but back tomorrow, so I have to take care of things at home until he gets back. You'll have to tell me some more about your little guy... I can't wait! Is he growing like a weed? Anyways... time to lie down again. Take good care of you and yours... and hope to hear from you soon.

Lovedblessings - May 25

Hi Deborah, sorry to hear about your blood pressure... do take it easy you don't want to go into hospital any earlier. Does it help if you soak your feet in epson salts? Give it a try you may feel better. 8lb is a nice weight, I'm sure Dani will reach it before birth. Jack is growing so fast, he is cooing and smiling and of c ourse melting his mom's heart. My oldest is an amazing helper, my 15 month old is keeping me in stiches. We went to the go kart track yesterday and he started to run away as he did he would wave and just laugh when I caught up with him. He is such a love! How did I get so lucky!!! Jackson has another appointment in July to scan his kidneys and see if the fluid retention has gone down. Hopefully this will be the case, the next step would be surgery. We hope that we can avod that at all cost. my mom is coming to visit, I'm looking forward to an extra pair of hands. Hope your feeling better, talk to you soon!
