Hi Deborah, sorry to hear about your blood pressure... do take it easy you don't want to go into hospital any earlier. Does it help if you soak your feet in epson salts? Give it a try you may feel better. 8lb is a nice weight, I'm sure Dani will reach it before birth. Jack is growing so fast, he is cooing and smiling and of c ourse melting his mom's heart. My oldest is an amazing helper, my 15 month old is keeping me in stiches. We went to the go kart track yesterday and he started to run away as he did he would wave and just laugh when I caught up with him. He is such a love! How did I get so lucky!!! Jackson has another appointment in July to scan his kidneys and see if the fluid retention has gone down. Hopefully this will be the case, the next step would be surgery. We hope that we can avod that at all cost. my mom is coming to visit, I'm looking forward to an extra pair of hands. Hope your feeling better, talk to you soon!

Hiya Loved... Go karting already, eh? What a trooper you are! I bet you're so busy now, you don't know which way to turn sometimes. I guess in a way I should be glad my son is 15, I don't have to worry about him... just my little Dani when she comes. I bet you're really looking forward to a visit with your mom. It's amazing how helpful they are, and I'm sure she can't wait to see Jack. I bet he's already got you wrapped around his little finger... they do it so easily and quickly, don't they? I'll cross my fingers for you that all is okay with his upcoming scan. Surgery would be so hard to go through, I can only imagine... for both your son and his parents. It's incredible how much even the littlest bit of suffering on their part hurts us. I've been trying to take it easy, and I've been soaking my feet, though it doesn't help too much. My wonderful husband usually gives them a good rubbing while we watch some tv in the evenings. He hates to see me in pain. I saw my doctor yesterday, and my blood pressure was in the acceptable range, so that was good news. I do not want to go into the hospital any earlier than I have to. I'm 37 weeks today, so I'm thinking... okay little one, come on down! I've noticed that she's getting a bit more quiet these days, so perhaps we're getting to the end now, I really hope so, cause I've had enough! I want to see my little girl, even if she does weigh less than I'd hoped for. Well, I'm off to grab some lunch... I'm starving! Take care of you and your family... and let me know how Jack makes out with his scan.

Hi Deborah, I feel for you, those last few weeks are awful. You just feel that you will never pop and all your body parts are tired and achy. That's wonderful your husband is taking such great care of you. Are you having many Braxton hicks? My son is demanding my attention... I will try and catch up later... talk to you soon!!

Hiya Loved... to answer your question... yes, lots of Braxton Hicks! That's the reason I'm up so late tonight... I can't sleep because of them. Usually they don't keep me up like this, but tonight, they're too much to handle, and they seem to ease up a bit when I sit up. So, I'm 39 weeks and 2 days now, and I am anxious to see my daughter. The nurse I saw last week thinks she's going to be a good sized baby... I'm hoping not too big! OUCH!!! We'll just have to see. My husband is not getting much sleep with me tossing and turning all night, and sometimes moaning in my sleep from the Braxton Hicks... so, I feel so sorry for him, as he works hard and it's 3 nights running now that he hasn't slept well. My feet are still swollen, but everything else seems to have settled down for now. How's Jack doing? I bet he's keeping you busy? How was your visit with your mom? I can imagine what a huge help she was for you. Has the incision healed yet? I really hope all is well with you and yours... take care and talk to you soon. :o)

Hey Deborah! Great to hear from you, not too much longer for you to go. I'm so happy the end is near, I know how tired you must be feeling. Sorry your feet are still sore, put them up and relax on the couch while you still can. So the nurse thinks your going to have a big baby... here's hoping she is around 7 pounds. I'm really looking forward to hearing your birth story. Jackson is growing like a weed, he is now weighing in at just under 14 pounds. He is on the 95 percentile.. a big boy! I just love him to bits!!! We go for an ultrasound July 16th to see where his fluid retention stands. Hopefully there is some improvement. Spencer, my 16month old is laying in my lap while I'm trying to type.. he is so cute, big blue eyes and blond hair. Let me know how u r making out...take care

Hiya Loved... sorry it's been so long, I'd forgotten how much work babies can be. LOL Your little guy is growing like a weed, and I can imagine how very much you do love him.... they're so easy to love. My fingers are crossed for his scan this month, I really hope things have improved. I can't even imagine taking care of a newborn with a 16 month old as well... wow! How the hell do you do it? So... what can I tell you about my little dolly? She was born on her due date of June 19th at 2:09 am... she weighed 8lbs 8oz, and was 22 inches long! Yep a big girl, and yes it hurt! OMG the epidurals these days aren't like when I had my son 15 years ago... then I was completely frozen and felt absolutely nothing... this time, not so much, and by the time midnight came, I was getting in really bad shape, cause I needed a bigger dose of the epidural, and the contractions were getting really strong. Still, there were no real complications, and my husband was amazing. His support during my labour was what kept me going... since I had to push so long and so hard. Yep, that's why they call it labour. I have quite a few fibroids and so, it was a lot of work to get that "big" girl out of me. But my god, it was SO worth it! She's such a doll... hardly ever cries, eats like a trooper and sleeps for hours at a time. And of course, she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. ;o) LOL Aren't they all? My husband fell instantly in love with our Dani, and he's been great with her. His mom came over from England on the Sunday after we had her. She saw her on the webcam and couldn't wait until her scheduled fall visit to see her, so she booked a flight and was a great help for me. I was pretty exhausted by the time she arrived on Sunday, so she made sure I got some extra sleep while she was here, and now my hubby is on vacation this week, so I've been lucky... not sure what I'm going to do next week with just me to look after her, but I'm sure I'll manage like everyone else has for thousands of years. Well, my little one is waking up... take care of you and yours... :o)

CONGRATULATIONS Deborah on the birth of Dani... I love her name! Ouch she was a big girl. you must be so relieved that you are no longer pregnant and your body is slowly healing. Your labour sounded fairly smooth sailing and your husband was very supportive. Were stiches required? Did you go into labour naturally? I bet you DD will have her Daddy wrapped around her finger in no time at all!!! YOu will do just fine when you are on your own. There are days when it feels like I will put out my hair keeping up but we do manage. 10 days until his ultrasound, it will be great to know where we stand. Jackson is so sweet, he started to laugh this week.. music to my ears!! Take care and keep me updated on how you are doing Congratulations again to you and your hubby!

Hiya Loved... sorry, I haven't been on the computer much at all these days! Life has been hectic, to say the least. I can't imagine how you do it??? So, first of all, how is the little man? How did his ultrasound go? I really hope you got some positive results. I can imagine how his laughter touched you... I can't wait for Dani to smile at me. She's 6 weeks old tomorrow. To answer your questions... I did need a few st_tches, but nothing major. There was only a little tear. I went into labour naturally, though it started mildly on Sunday night, I didn't really get strong labour pains until late Monday afternoon. As for who she looks like... well, it's hard to tell. Some say she looks like my husband, others say she looks like me. I personally think she looks more like me, but time will tell. She has dark hair, which I didn't expect, as we both had blond hair, and mine was so blond it was almost white. So, seeing our little girl with such dark hair, was a shock. She's a little monster though... she doesn't like sleeping too much during the day, so I get nothing done until hubby gets home, but she is sleeping 5 - 6 hours straight at night, so I guess that's a bonus. Then she wakes up only long enough to nurse... usually 10 minutes and goes back to sleep for another 2 - 4 hours! Anyways... I gotta go, she's getting restless. Let me know how things are with you, please. Take care.

Hi Deborah.. sorry it's been a while for me signing on too. My Little man is now weighing in at 18 pounds at four months.. he is so big. My other two didn't get that big until they were almost a year. Spence made 20 pounds until he was a year old. Jackson is laughing so much these days it's wonderful. Donavan broke his ankle, poor guy can't do too much for a few more weeks. How is your family? Dani must be getting so big. How is your son adjusting to having a baby in the house. Has your daughter got her daddy's finger wrapped around yet? Are you getting more sleep? Let me know how you are making out. Take care!

Hiya Loved... I certainly know what it's like when life gets in the way of good intentions. We're both very busy these days, so it'll be a while between posts, I think. LOL Jackson certainly sounds like a healthy, happy, loving baby boy. I can imagine how much he touches your heart. You never said how things are going with him though? So, I'm a__suming the best, and that he's doing great!!! He certainly is a BIG boy... wow, 18 lbs already, that's great. My little Dani is about 11.5 lbs now, and she's just turned 8 weeks. Ouch, a broken ankle... I can feel the pain. I've never actually broken mine, but I've sprained my ankle so many times, and know how much it hurts. To answer your questions... my daughter is trouble with a capital T! She doesn't like to sleep, and I've never known a baby to sleep so little... oh, I'm sure they're out there, I've just never met one until now. She sleeps maybe 10 - 12 hours a day if I'm lucky. She rarely sleeps during the day, and when I do finally get her down, it's for 5 - 20 mins tops usually, and she's so tired these days... I'm starting to worry about it. She's actually getting dark circles and little bags under her eyes! Consequently, I'm not sleeping so much either... but I can manage on less sleep than most people, so that's okay. My son doesn't have any time for his sister... but he helps me out some days when I need to shower and he'll hold her for me until I'm finished... and I have caught him smiling at her, so he's not the cold fish he pretends to be. Her daddy definitely thinks the world of her, and yeah... the finger wrapping is well under way, he'll be a goner for sure by the time she's 6 months old. Let me know how Jackson is doing... and hopefully Donovan isn't too down about his ankle. Take care and hope to hear from you soon. :o)

What a great way to end the day, just looking looking around the living room as I type. My two little ones just fell asleep laying side by side. Jackson is laughing as he sleeps. My oldest telling me his getting so old since his turning 15 on Monday... half way to 30!!! Too funny! Jackson's one kidney has is a normal size, the other still is big but smaller than in the past so that is great news. He is off his medication and we see the specialist next in November. Donavan is starting to walk again... just in time to start school which he is very happy about. Spencer is climbing on EVERYTHING!!! We have tied the dining rm chairs together with bungie cords to keep him from using them to climb on the kitchen counter. He has a smile that lights up like a Christmas tree.. so beautiful! Dani sounds like she doesn't want to miss a thing. That isn't much sleep, how are the bags under your eyes.. you must be so tired? What does her doctor say? That's funny about your son... I'm sure he will be very protective of her. Your husband must think she is the cuttest little doll around. She is so tiny. HOw is your body healing. are you having any luck getting back into shape? I find when I am tired I eat too much.. how about you? Let me know how you are doing..Take care for now!

Hiya Loved... that does sound like the perfect ending to your day. Yeah, 15 is so old! I think I have shoes older than that. LOL I guess we too felt so grown up and old by that age... I know my son thinks he knows everything and that he's old enough to do anything he wants. Yeah, right! I'm so glad to hear that things are looking more positive for Jackson. :o) Good luck with everything in November... I'm sure all will continue to get better for the little dude. It's great that Donavan is walking again and as for Spencer's climbing... well, I remember those days. They need to be watched constantly cause one split second can mean a world of difference to little ones. I keep telling my husband that they learn to do things so fast, and often without any forewarning... it is always better to be safe than sorry with them. Sleep... hmmmm, what is that again??? Actually, Dani is getting better and now sleeps between 5.5 - 7 hours a night... and I can almost survive on that, though I can't often fall asleep when she does, as I need to unwind before I can get some shut eye. Oh well, it'll get better, and I haven't talked to her doctor about it, but I did discuss it with the nurse when we went for her first shots. She suggested the sleep clinic, and it worked wonders for my sister, so who knows... maybe I'll give it a go! ....... she definitely has her dad's heart. She's smiling all the time now, telling us stories, started to b__w bubbles and raspberries... so, he's thrilled to watch her interact and her smile is so cute it makes us smile. ... As for me, well... my body has healed well, but I'm nowhere near in the shape I was before pregnancy. I've been really moody lately, lots of lows and I've been indulging myself in chocolate ice cream therapy! LOL I know, it sounds terrible... but it's a way for me to cope right now. There's something in the cold chocolate that just makes things seem a bit better. Hopefully this phase doesn't last too long. I really hope all is good with you and yours as you read this, and as always, I look forward to hearing how you guys are doing. Take good care of yourself, and hope to hear soon.
