Trying I am so sorry. At my first ultrasound at 6 weeks 5days for the son I just delivered 2 weeks ago his heartbeat was 128 and they never mentioned that was low and I was not scared by it after that it was always very high. If I had just had that scan and read your post I would have been scared. As for trying again, my husband and I would really like a fiftth and my doctor is all for it and tells me he does not see any problem and he thinks I am young (39). I know we want to wait at least 6 months and my dr. advises a year. I think that will put me at the end of my 40th year. My mother had me her fifth at 44 but after reading so much on here of things going wrong I am really scared we are going to do a lot of praying and take it from there. It is scary. Again so sorry for your loss, I was so hoping to hear good news from you. God Bless.

to Trying, if you are still reading these messages - i am also so sorry for this very difficult time you are having. i hope that you and carly both have success the next time. it seems that many of my friends had their children after 35 yrs, so the reaction i have gotten from both friends and family so far has been very supportive. they all know how much i have wanted to have a baby. and if it is important to you, then it shouldn't matter what others think, and hopefully your friends and family will be supportive of your choice. there are more and more "older moms" out there, too, and we will all need extra help!

Thank you to everyone for all your support. I know in my heart that I will be able to have a baby come to full term, and you are right Jazzy, I shouldnt care about what anyone else thinks about my decision to have a child at 40. For some reason, I just really am being drawn in to have a third child. Thank you again. To everyone else that is listening, good luck with your pregnancy's. Positive chi!!!! Keep in touch.

hello to all you mothers-to-be on mothers day. i had a good doctor visit last week, because u/s showed 2 arms, 2 hands, 2 legs, spine. my amnio is scheduled for may 18. as all of us here are at the amnio age, i am curious to know when you are scheduled and what your thoughts are. i am ,of course, nervous, but hopeful that it will go as uneventfully as everything else so far.
