Has anyone had a miscarriage while taking progesterone? My dr put me on progesterone after a previous miscarriage & I'm very nervous!

I was put on it too late and had a m/c.....but since I had some left over..the next time (2 cycles) i tried..got preggo had them in the fridge waiting (suppositories) got them in right away and now, Im 4 months pregnant....

I think that you should listen to your doc but I had a m/c at the beginning of the year and they said it was due to low progesterone so I did tons of research and most of what I read said natural progesterone cream was the best and when I got pregnant again I used that now I am 14wks with a very healthy pregnancy so far I have had 2 sonograms and have heard the babie's heartbeat so I am still using the cream I am sure some will disagree with me but that is fine I just suggest you do you own research I have read some not so great things about the synthetic progesterone cream but I have also read on here many women have had great results using it so not trying to make anyone mad or anything (so please no mean posts back to me) I am just telling you what my results have been.....good luck hope all turns out great for you and baby

Hi K --
I'm five weeks pregnant after my first completed IVF cycle at age 35. I was 26 when I had an ectopic and lost one of my tubes, and this year my specialist said I had tubal disease -- the remaining tube was blocked.
Anyway, to make a long story short, the doctor has instructed me to take prog injections and suppositories for 10 weeks. This is VERY intense for me and my husband, but we've learned that this is the glue that'll keep that baby in the right place.
The prog is worth it! Good luck!
