Quickening

I am going to be 40 in March. Found out I am pregnant in October. My sone will be 20 this summer and baby due in June. I am 21 weeks and have not felt this "quickening" I don't think. I am really sick all the time. Morning sickness never goes away for me. I weighed less when I had my son than when I got pregnant. So at least this time I have managed to gain 5 pounds. But I am worried since I haven't felt the quickening. My friends say I probably can't feel it cuz i am too busy throwing up. Is this a bad sign? Sonograms and heartbeat were good one month ago. I go to the doctor again Friday. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I felt (imagined?) some movement around 18-19wks, but I was probably about 20-21wks before I felt some honest-to-goodness "thumps" One suggestion I've seen to make the baby move is to drink something really cold. Then maybe lay down about 15-20 minutes afterwards and see if you feel anything. I'm sure everything is fine. Hope it helps!
