Hi, I am new to this forum and was just after some reassurance and advice. I am 22 weeks and and recently found mice poo under my couch. I then googled mice poo and pregnancy and lost my mind! I don't know how long it has been there but I have been sitting on the couch for months...dear god. I had the carpets professionally cleaned yesterday and I don't think I have touched it myself but who knows? I have vacuumed the room of course so I may have inadvertently vacuumed up the poo, which all the articles say NOT to do as LCMV can be a risk. I scared myself stupid and now am having a complete meltdown.
Has anyone had a similar experience and their babies were happy and healthy? I am very keen to hear of stories where ladies cleaned up the mess, maybe vacuumed or swept and everything turned out well.
Thanks so much everyone!
Sammie

We had a problem with mice a while ago, but it had no adverse effects. Just keep up your normal prenatal visits, and I'm sure you'll be fine. My husband used freak about the things you could get from cat pooh but there've never been any problems. Don't worry, just keep your normal prenatal checkups and I'm sure you'll be fine.
Really, stressing yourself is more likely to harm the baby (so now that you know that, you're soooo calm, right?! lol) so relax.
If you're still worried, this is a good time to have hubby do some housecleaning. :)
