hi my docter said its very common to get short of breath due to levels of hormones for pregnancy. He said it will be more common in my later pregnancy thanks anna

That happend to me too right around 18 weeks. It felt like my rib cage was expanding and I was out of breath. Luckily it went way within two weeks. My doctor said it was due to the organs shifting around. Hope this helps!

I was worrying my father yesterday, since I could hardly talk to him on the phone - I was so short of breath. I am only 15 weeks, so I am thinking it is total lack of exercise. I really must do something about this :). I am not overweight at all - if anything - the opposite. I sleep with lots of pillows at night - almost sitting up!

I am 9 weeks and out of breath all the time.....and I was extremely fit before this pregnancy....I feel like I've gained 100 pounds...(only 3 actually)....my doc says it it common......but you may want to get it checked out
