Ugh! "Creamy & wet like slime". Ok --- sounds interesting. Krissy, all I'm going to say for now is, don't you & dh get your hopes way up high. I remember having all the pregnancy symptoms ---cravings for icecream & pickles, nausea, sore nipples, late cycle, increased appet_te, crankiness (well, according to dh, that was pretty much standard); however, it turned out that I was not pg. What a disappointment. Anyways, don't get your hopes so high up, that if it turns out that you aren't pg at this time, you & dh get really depressed. Let the marbles roll where they may. What I did, was convince myself that it was all in my mind, so that when af showed her ugly face --- I wasn't so let down & disappointed. Remember girl, there's always the next time; IF it's not a positive for you this time. Love U all, Bunny

Krissy- sorry to hear you are getting bfn's. I wonder if it is what's called a "Chemical Pregnancy" where the egg is fertilized but does not implant. It sounds like it since you went from positive to negative. They say most people don't even know about it unless they test at just the right time. The way I kept from getting my hopes up too much (this is really corny) was making sure I bought a ton of tampons for af time b/c I knew if I was well prepared, that's when it might happen. I would convince myself that next cycle might be it and this cycle was a bust. I never had any symptoms before my bfp, but I think it's different for everyone. Hello to everyone else and Happy Friday, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Bunny- is this your romantic weekend? My dh just remembered our anniversary is coming up and he's stressed. Baby dust- Colleen

Hello all, & b4 I forget ---- HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! So, how is ev'ry1? Hey Punkin! This is EXACTLY where u need to b; because we all REALLY love u!! We hope u NEVER leave us. A word of advice for u Punkin-pie ---- Let hubby try some things on u, while you're still in the pretzel shape; this could become a new position for you. :-) Hi Colleen. Yes, our anniversary is Sunday, but we will celebrate it on Monday & Tuesday; unless dh p__ses (excuse my language) me off b4 then. Colleen, I'll be thinking about u & dh's anniversary, while I am soaking (well, maybe not then ---- smile) in the jacuzzi. Your dh should be stressed; he's got alot of gifts to get you --- and he'd better "get to gettin'!" If you're smart, you could use your being pregnant, to get a third (along with Mother's Day & anniversary) gift! Hello to my other 3 angels; Krissy, Kristin & Pootersmum!! Krissy, hope u aren't depressed. We love u girl! I love u all! Bunny

Hey Girls - I'm here and I have had my cry and I will be okay I finally talk to the nurse and the results from my blood work on Tuesday came back negative. I just really got my hopes up and I told dh I should have just held out cause I could have delt with it he really think that he let me down and he knew how bad I wanted this. I can always try and try again but I think my age is really starting to get to me that maybe my eggs are drying up. Okay let me give you girls a little backgroud. As you know I have 4 kids all girls I was with their father for 17 years but he just wasn't right if you all know what I mean I left Ohio and moved to California just about 8 years ago but I still tried the long distance thing I was true and faithfull to him but I knew he was being a DOG!!!!!!!!!!! but I looked at it this way out of sight out of mind. Anyway I met my new fiance and I am really in Love with him and the girls really like him I was more scared of my 3 year adjusting but she was the one who took to him first and my 13 year old the 3 year has no relationship with their father he has only seen her 3 time oh well his lost anyway I have been with fiance for 10 months and we are planning on getting married but I want to have a nice wedding. He turned 42 in Jan and I will be 40 in Jun. We both had decided to that we want a baby together (I want a son too many girls LOL) Krissy68

3_babies_at_41 - Hi and thanks for the all the encouraging words you say to me over and over again. I do have a question for you. When your temp start to drop does that mean AF is a knocking at my door. I know I let myself get caught up and I shouldn't have I just couldn't help it. I will keep you updated and enjoy your anniverssary.
Punkin01 - Hi and thank you for keeping everything cross but I think AF is about to be knocking at my door my temp are going down. I guess that would be interesting position for you and dh to do the bding LOL. Did you ever get all your questions answered about your TR remember I told you that I had one in 03 and my last daughter was born in 04. Let me know.
Clindholm - Hi and thank you for your concerns as well. That's okay about all the BFN I'm okay I think I'm not getting all down and depress like I thought I would I did drop a few tears but that's about it. Can you please explain to me about Chemical Pregnancy? Also do you think the blood test I took on Tuesday cd 26 was maybe too early? Krissy68

Hey Krissy- I'm glad you're doing better. I would wait for af and test only if late- it's a heartbreaker. I am so glad your dh is so wonderful, he really sounds like a sweetie. Good for you that you were smart enough to ditch the dog. I don't know much about temping, but yea, I think it drops when af is coming. It stays consistently high if pg. As far as the blood test, you would have only been about 3 weeks pg right? The hCG would be between 5-50 so I really don't know if it would show up or not. I will copy in my next post what I was able to find on the Chemical Pregnancy. Punkin- how are ya girl? Haven't seen you today- how goes the bd? Bunny- don't let that dh p__s you off and ruin a lovely romantic weekend! Everyone enjoy your Mother's day!!! Colleen

What is a Chemical Pregnancy?
A chemical pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg does not implant into the uterine wall. If a pregnancy test is taken just at the right time it will be positive, however, when a repeat test is taken several days later it will be negative. A chemical pregnancy leaves the couple to cope with the difficult news of thinking they were pregnant when in reality they are miscarrying. However, majority of women who have a chemical pregnancy never know they are pregnant before they miscarry and begin what they think is their normal menstrual cycle.
Signs and Symptoms of a Chemical Pregnancy
Due to the fact that in a chemical pregnancy a fertilized egg does not implant into the uterus most women do not experience signs and symptoms of pregnancy (ie. tender b___st, nausea, and / or fatigue). There are a few reports of women who have been pregnant in the past who state that they felt pregnant with their chemical pregnancy. There may be mild abdominal cramping as well as mild spotting just prior to what most women think is their normal menstrual cycle. The menstrual cycle usually begins on time or a few days late. To learn more Go to Sign and Symptom of Miscarriage.
Causes of a Chemical Pregnancy
The true cause of a chemical pregnancy is not known, however, most believe it is due to abnormal chromosomes within the fetus. These chromosomal abnormalities can be due to several factors including poor quality sperm or egg, abnormal cell division of the fetus, and / or genetic abnormalities of either mother or father. It is thought that approximately 50 - 60% of first trimester miscarriages are due to some type of chromosomal abnormality. Other causes of a chemical pregnancy are thought to be related to infection (ie. Chlamydia, Cytomegalovirus, Genital herpes, Syphilis, Toxoplasmosis, and Rubella), abnormal uterine anatomy (ie. unicornate uterus or septate uterus), abnormal hormonal levels within the mother (ie. low progesterone), and systemic illnesses (ie. untreated thyroid disease). To learn more Go to Cause of Miscarriage.

Clindholm - Thank you and I will not test until next Tuesday but I will keep taking my temp and see what happens. DH keep calling me to see how I'm doing and if I am okay I told him I was fine and everything is okay we will try again so I guess I better get caught up on my rest this weekend cause if she show up then I have to start the ttcing process all over again. Hello everyone - sorry I missed a few before...uh...old eyes or something lol. Every so often I see ladies older than myself on the schedule for c-sections (and I have no idea about those delivering naturally)...so Im encouraged! The oldest Ive seen on the schedule was 50...no kidding :) I dont think Id choose to do that, but you never know! Right now I think Ill give us till sometime this fall to get a hit before giving up the quest. So Ive been thinking that if one is fairly healthy and has the desire to have another... why not? :)
Colleen the only thing Ive been doing is using a clearblue fertility monitor...my waking time in the morning varies so much through the week and I forget to do it...that and the whole irregularity thing made me decide to use a monitor...hopefully Im still ovulating!!! :-o Right now Ive had 4 days of "high fertility" but no hit on the LH/ovulation yet. Its the 2nd cycle Ive used the monitor...I really hope it helps!! Right now the CM situation is sort of egg-white and stretchy (sorry) so I hope hope hope to get the ovulation result tomorrow!! Bunny I had the same thing in January...I was sure I was pg had all the same symptoms as with DS...turned out AF was 2 weeks late. Part of me still believes I was pg, but it didnt take for whatever reason. I hope you all have had a wonderful Mother's day!! Pootersmum aka Julie

Hello all, hope ev'ry1 had a Happy Mother's Day! Julie (ahhhh, we're getting on first name basis now --- smile), we're missed you. I really hope you & dh succeed with your ttc quest; and might I add, I thought your CM situation description ("sort of egg white and stretch) was kinda funny ---- reminding me of how candid I was, on a March 6th post. Anyways, sounds like it's time for you & dh to "do your thing". Bad news Colleen ---- dh & I got into a spat (never fails ---- right b4 we have big plans to do something special) over the weekend, so I have called off the jacuzzi reservations. :-( Oh well, easy come..... By the way, try not to get mad at your dh, before you get all your anniversary gifts!! Hope everything is going well for you at this time. When is your next scan? Hello Krissy, Kristin & Punkin; hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day, & that you all are feeling alot better than I am right now. Krissy, has that dog-faced AF shown up yet? Well, I hope to talk to you all soon. Take care of yourselves, Bunny

Hi girls, hope everyone had a great Mother's day! Krissy- That's exactly what you have to do- look forward to the next cycle. I'm sure your dh is, you animal you! Let us know how you make out tomorrow. Bunny- I can't believe your dh (d__n husband this time!) started s*** right near Mother's day. Men have great timing, huh? Well make sure he reeeaaallly sucks up good to get back in your good graces. My next doc appt is Friday 5/16, but not for a scan, hopefully she will tell me then when to have the next one. Julie- it sure sounds like it's time for you and your dh to get busy- good luck on this cycle. I never used a fertility monitor (just opk's) are they easy to use? So I had a little freak out Friday (what else is new) I found a tick attached to me (on my hip). They are sooo skeevy. So of course I google "pregnancy Lyme Disease" and come up with all this scary stuff about miscarriages and stillbirths. I call the answering service and get the on call doc (after over an hour and 3 calls!!!) and he calls in Amoxicillian. I read that if you take the antibiotics within 72 hours of removing the tick, the risk to the baby is minimized. I brought the nasty little thing with me to work (I work at a health department) and it will be sent to the state lab to be tested for Lyme. I'm trying not to get too freaked. Hope all you lovely ladies are well. Colleen
