Hi all. Hopeful-- how nice to be able to visit Italy. Sounds like all is well with your pregnancy as well. I'm sure your appt on the 11th will be rea__suring as well. All is well here, almost the end of the day for cd30, so thats good. I looked back thru my calendar and twice in the past year I have had 32 day cycles so we'll see. I have refrained from testing. getting a lot of discharge and keep feeling like its af, but its not. I often will awake in the a.m and af is there, so thats it for me really. COL- how are things with you and your temps at this point in your cycle? I hope y'all are having a nice weekend, take care and hugs and baby dust to us all

Well, AF arrived this a.m. Feeling sad...had a good cry and now am perked back up and our family is coming today for my dd's 11th birthday which is today. So grateful for my 3. I have really taken for granted how easy it was to have them. First month of trying for each, I never realized how blessed we were then. Anyhow, back to the beginning of a new cycle and hope!! I hope my af sticks around for a few days, none of this 1 day period and fear of menopause this month!! thanks for your encouragement this last cycle girls! Hope you are all well.

COL - August 27

Hello ladies, hope you are doing well, Lovemy3, I am sorry Af is here, but as you said next month is another hope, try to enjoy your DD birthday. Sann, sorry you are tired, but this comes as part of the package, no complains : ) : ) I hope you will be feeling better soon. Val, that is a new info for me , I never heard of such therapy, I am glad you enjoyed it : ) : ). ISA, how is going with you? Any updates? *** Hopeful, wow Italy?? That must be nice to do, enjoy it. As for my updates, I am 11 dpo, temps still high; usually my LP is 12 days, so Tuesday will be the day for AF. I am hoping it will not show up this month. I have some symptoms but I am trying to ignore, I don’t want to keep my hopes up. The cramps stopped, but I am fatigued, slightly nauseous, tender b___sts, light headed and I sleep more, but still maybe it’s just my brain playing tricks. I will keep you posted. Wish me luck. TTYL

Hi all, CO- Those sound like symptoms to me, that would be great. How long have you been trying? Are you doing everything naturally at this point? Sann- hope your energy picks up for you. The early days are tough. My spirits have picked up and I'm hopeful for next month. I have read a little about the Clear Blue Easy monitor- does anyone know anything about how that works. So, I guesswe've tried nov/dec/aug. What is the average length of time over 35? Any other tips? Thanks so much, Col- I will be praying for you!

KD - August 27

Lovemy3, So sorry to hear about your AF. I'm hopeful next month will be our month. I too conceived so easily the 1st time around, I didn't expect to be having to wait. Sann, I remember the hardest part about being tired is not being able to tell everyone why I was so tired. Is that your case? Good luck Col, I hope this is your month.

isa - August 27

lovemy3 sorry you got af. To answer your question how long it might take is anyones guess. Over 35 I was told could take upwards of 2 years. I was told at my age (I'm 40) only 1 out of every 4 or 5 of my eggs is probably any good and it started dropping at 25, again at 30 and again at 35 (at this age it apprently dropps alot) and again dropping at 40 and plummets at 45. This is not taking into account anything other than just general aging. If you find other factors like male factors, endo, pcos, genetic issues it could be even longer. sorry to be bearer of bad news but its not a pretty sight for women as they get older. The big thing you have going for you is that you know you can get pg b/c you have 3x's. Me on the other hand has never been pg so we dont even know IF we can. It's very disheartening not knowing. We've pretty much decided ivf will start end of sept and my final review for ivf is on Thurs with RE.

lovemy3 - August 28

Good morning Girls, thanks for the encouragement. KD- It does feel weird, I just a__sumed it would happen quick again, but like Isa said, the "age" thing- yuck! Isa- thats good to knopw the age info. The last time I conceived was when I was 34. Hopefully at 37 I still am fertile. Good luck on Thursady with your RE appointment. How are you feeling about the IVF- how long have you been trying on your own? I do know quite a few ladies who are 40 and having babies- hang in there. have they seen a problem? I'm not sure if I should call the der or wait a little while longer. I really do wonder about scar tissue from having 3 c-sections already. i think it could be a problem. or maybe we bd too often. before my surge had shown we had bd 5 times and then 2 times after the surge. maybe this month we should wait till the surge?? Anybody have thwe Clear Blue Fertlity Monitor? How do people seem to think it works? have a great day!!

COL - August 28

Hello ladies, hope you are doing will all. Lovemy3 and KD, thanks for the prayers and the nice words, I hope this is my month too. I have been trying to be a mom for a veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy long time, almost 20 years. But this time is different; I am in a new relation and nothing to prevent me from being a mom other than GOD. I have some cramps today, the kind like the before AF cramps, but my temps still high though. Will see tomorrow. Wish me luck. Lovemy3, I have been using the Monitor for about 4 months now, I cant say worked for me as you can see, but it does work the same way OPKs . it detects your Ovulation 1-2 days before it happens. I bought of ebay too, cost me almost $100. Do I like it? I am not sure; I use it with the OPKs to confirm. Some people got pregnant using it, but it’s not any different from OPK. It might save money over the time. There is a huge thread about it, and I did some math there, out of almost 25 ladies, only 6 success stories, and I would not even relate them to it. At the end of the day lovemy3, what meant to be will be, with or without the monitor. Good luck.

lovemy3 - August 28

Thanks for the support COL, I hope this is your month. I spoke to friend of mine, who was using it and then recently adopted 2 children. She never did concieve and there is no explained reason. Anyhow, this afternoon, she gave me her monitor to try so I picked up some strips and we'll give it a shot. You are so right about it being God's timing. I know we don't see the big plan, sometimes though we want it to be our timing and our plan(lol)My prayer has been for the desire to be removed if its not meant to be. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Keep us posted and I'm praying for you.

isa - August 28

lovemy3 we've been trying for 19 months, have male factor issues, I have genetic issues that may or not be playing a part in it (we wont know until if/when we do ivf and they see if I have any eggs and the quality ) and age issues.Neither of us has any children. Some days I want to try ivf other days I dont. Its soooo expensive but we've been told by both the RE and the Geneticist to go straight to it now (7 failed iui's) and I'm at a risk of early menopause due to my genetic syndrome. So, it doesnt really matter that others can get pg in their 40's I may actually have no eggs but as i said i wont know unless i actually take that ivf leap. (which we are about 95% sure we are going to try once). Then we can say we've tried everything. I've not tried the monitor, i've done opk's and monitoring by b/w and u/s. Good luck with it. cramping like af cramps all day today. Getting headach tonight (also seems to come prior to af) and my oily skin is here again. So af is due on Saturday and I'm sure she is right around the corner. oh well I really didnt expect anything anyways. Sann any news? how you holding up? VAl how are you. Col how you feeling any new treatments scheduled?

COL - August 29

Hello Ladies, ok, AF arrived today, which just on time. I thought I will be really upset, but I am ok. I was hoping for a different outcome, but what can I do? Nothing I guess other than keeping the faith and the hope. Its funny, yesterday I was talking to someone, and during the conversation, came out that we are working on having kids, and his answer immediately, how old are you? Then just go and adopt a girl, at your age DS is almost 100%. I was so upset; I was praying all night that God prove him wrong. Well, it looks he is right. Anyway, my appointment with the fertility specialist is October, so will take it from there. We are going on a vacation Sep 8th, we need it so badly. Talk to you soon.

lovemy3 - August 29

Hi COL- Sorry to hear af arrived. It is very disheartening. I am on cd3 myself. That was awful what that man said to you. Try and ignore rude comments like that. Thats good you have an appointment in October. What will the plan be? I bought the Clear Blue Easy fertility Monitor and started today. its quite the gadget (lol). I know really its all about Gods timing, monitor or no monitor but thought it could be helpful in any case. I am feeling really positive about this month. So far we have tried in Nov and Dec 05 and then again Aug 06. maybe this will be the month. My af this time around is more like it used to be, lasting longer and not so light, so I'm hoping thats a good sign. Hopefully COL, this will be our month , hang in there. hope everyone else is well. Sann- everything ok?, I hope so.ttyl XOXO

isa - August 29

COl I'm almost 41 and I'm not even almost 100% for downs so dont listen to that guy and all the odds are different for everyone. You will have screening etc available to you. Destress and see your doc in October. I've been with a fertility clinic for over 1 year and never once has downs been mentioned as something to worry about because until they see your eggs (in ivf) or you actually get pg and they do some tests they wont know. Ignore the ignorant sob and keep TTC.

isa - August 29

col read this: http://www.stayinginshape.com/3sjhsnh/libv/k35.shtml there will be no dahses or hypens if they show up . its rates for downs depending on age.

lovemy3 - August 30

Good morning girls. Col- Isa is so right! Stay positive. People like that are so rude and ignorant to facts. Stay positive. ttyl

KD - August 30

Oh Col, I'm sorry to hear about AF. But keep trying. If it's meant to be it's meant to be. Of course I'm trying to keep that att_tude myself. As for that idiot that felt the need to burden you w/ his ignorant, rude thoughts I just prefer to think what goes around comes around....then I imagine something happening to them that would be embara__sing, but NOT horrible. Just to humble them some & make them feel a bit c___ppy! No pun intended!!! Well I'm officially on my 2 week wait now. My husband has been very good so far. He's been so exhausted after work & dealing w/ our 2 yr old, yet still managed to bd every other night. I plan to continue this for the next week just incase I O later than I think. I'm trying to check my cm, but I'm not that familar w/ it yet! Lovemy3, I hope that Clearblue works for you.Have a good day to all. Get your groove on. Literally!!!
