I just wanted to say congratulations to you Val...Great news!! All the best with your pregnacy!!!! Kristin

Val - September 18

hi all... thanks for the congrats! It's still hard to believe. I tested again this morning to make sure the line is getting darker (it is). Just called the specialist's office and they are going to arrange for me to have bloodwork done today and Wednesday at the lab near where I teach. Otherwise I would have had to wait until Wednesday to start, and that would have gotten me down! Also, the specialist's office is much farther away, so I'm glad not to have to drive there. Just a few symptoms - mostly tiredness, bloating, and occasionally sore b___bs and nausea. I didn't have the fatigue last time I was pg. COL, where are you on vacation? I hope you are having a great time? Oh, and dh is very pleased and has been really sweet. I think he's starting to believe it today! KRISTEN, how are you doing? LM3, I'm glad you're feeling positive about this cycle... I'm sending lots of good vibes your way! HOPEFUL, glad your feeling better. Swimming, huh? I may have to start that up. Gotta run...ttyl :-)

Hi again, Just wondering Val, what were you using again? Preseed, tempting and OPK's and for how long etc. Give us the scoop, maybe theres something more to incorporate into the craziness-lol.

KD - September 18

Hello Everyone.... CONGRATS Val. That's wonderful. Lovemy3, I hope your combo of OPK's worked this time. I was reading on another website that some doctor recommended that you test 2x a day w/ your OPK. $20 for 7 days, that's $80 a month! yikes I'm gonna wait one more month. Hopeful, any specific cravings yet, or just hungry for anything? I'm just about down w/ AF. Gonna start grooving soon. DH has been working non-stop, so I'm hoping things will slow down for the next 2 weeks or he definitely won't have any energy! yikes. I really wish he'd start drinking some coffee!!!lol

lovemy3 - September 18

KD, , Sounds like your dh works like mine-lol. I hadn't heard that before about testing twice a day, is that cuz you could miss a surge? I think I'm going to give my friend back her monitor and use the OPK's. the monitor test strips are $60 plus tax and the OPks are 35. And if I don't believe the monitor because of last month, I would want to back it up with OPKs and then it would be double-lol. What cycle day are you on?

KD - September 18

Lovemy3, I agree w/ your decision on the monitor. Have you checked out the company's website? Maybe there's some info on there as to reasons why you wouldn't show a "peak" day. I'm not sure what cycle day on on, my guess is only like 5, since I spotted for 2 days before I started to really bleed. Then it stopped after for 2 days & started up again on saturday. WHo know's. ..

lovemy3 - September 18

I di call them and they say it can take up to 3 cycles to get to know you....to me thats wasting time. Anyhow, glad you are well,XOXO

Val - September 19

LOVEMY3- Well, I was doing a lot of things! Clomid 100mg cd 4-9, Prometrium 600mg starting 4days after pos opk, pre-natals, temping, opks starting around cd 14 (o'd cd19), bding every other day leading up to ov, except we bd'd twice the day before ov, and (tmi?) I put my legs up on the wall behind the bed for about 10 minutes after the last 3x we bd'd. And acupuncture a couple days after ov, and hypnotherpy the day of ov. Whew, that's a lot, huh? My best guess is that the combo of the progesterone and hypnotherapy might have helped the most. What's funny is that I had given up caffeine, but started drinking it again this cycle... who knows?? KD, some people have a really short lh surge - that's probably why the dr recommended twice a day. But it does add up. Are you in the US? I use the dollar store opks and pg tests, and they have been totally accurate for me. My RE wanted me to use clear blue easy, but they are expensive and harder (for me) to read/understand, so I didn't. If you can get the dollar store ones, I really recommend them.

KD - September 19

Wow Val, Now that's what I call determination! I especially like the leaning of the legs. That I'll have to try. I am in the US, but I never even thought of looking at the dollar store for OPK's but I'm gonna try & hunt some down tomorrow, I hear there a good place to get the pg tests also. Thx for the info.

Hopeful and excited - September 20

Hi all - no real news from me but I'm just checking in! Val - KD was right to say "Wow "about your efforts - VERY impressive. You definitely deserve your BFP after all that!! LOL!!!! Interesting that you mention you went back on caffeine that cycle. I had a similar experience which always makes me wonder - I was, of course, off alcohol while ttc but both times I've got pregnant I found myself in a situation (during the 2ww) where I couldn't avoid taking a sip of champagne to toast someone's celebration (only a sip - I managed to sneak the rest into my husband's gla__s when no-one was looking!!) I can't help but wonder whether the fact that I'd relaxed (NOT the fact that I was drinking alcohol) helped the pregnancy to take! Just a theory! Anyway, hope you're all well. Speak to you soon!

lovemy3 - September 20

Good morning everyone. Not a thing new here. CD24 here and the last day monitor could call for test, still no peak. So thats it for the monitor, packing it up for my friend. Will buy OPK's next cycle if i'm not pregnant. No news here, I',m thinking I will be excited by the 30th if no AF. I will test on the 29th, bought my tests already. I'm starting to learn over the last 5 months, not to waste them! Hope you are all well. Anybody know anything about Sann, hope shes ok? How about you COL? Hope you are well as well. XOXO

Hopeful and excited - September 20

lovemy3 - so glad you're staying positive and practical too. I think that's always the best way. Of course, I've still got all my fingers and toes crossed for you! I know what you mean about Sann - I'm really worried about her too. I wonder if anyone ever had her email address and they could try contacting her that way? Let's just hope that the old saying is true - no news is good news. Just been for a swim but couldn't manage my usual pace so cut it down by a third. Reckon I'm going to have to be a bit of a slow coach from now on!! Tee hee - don't really mind actually coz it's really relaxing! Speak to you all soon!

Hopeful and excited - September 21

lovemy3 - just read your "feeling positive because" post. I just wanted you to know that I'm behind your decision all the way and am sure that you feel relief because it feels right for you to let nature take its course. Good luck to you!

Val - September 21

hiya... I guess I was determined, huh? The thing was, every month I didn't get pregnant, I usually tried to add some new positive step like the hypnotherapy or acup or whatever. It just helped me feel like I had some control over my life since I had no control with getting pg. I'm worried about SANN too. Last I heard, I think she was going on bedrest? And I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a computer at home, so I'm hoping it's just that she's home and unable to access the internet. KD, definitely check out the dollar store. I used the pg tests too and they work great. LM#, good for you for holding out on testing. I probably wouldn't have tested at 12dpo, but only did it since it was our anniversary and I was hoping for good news! Hi HOPEFUL! COL, how are you?

Hopeful and excited - September 21

Hey there Val - thanks for asking how I am. Actually I feel fine which I find a bit daunting to be honest. Last night I had awful cramps - turned out to be trapped wind/constipation so as soon as it was "relieved" (LOL!!) the pain went away. However, I had an awful night's sleep and have been really tired and emotional all day. My b___bs really haven't been sore at all today, and although the hunger pangs are still there they're not as fierce. I hope this is nothing to worry about (I'm in my 9th week) - any words of wisdom on this would be welcome as this was the same fear as I had last time and it resulted in a missed miscarriage (probably in the 10th week). I don't have another appointment for 2 weeks and I don't know whether I should schedule one just because my symptoms have lessened (no other problems to report so it seems a bit silly!?) **** If you're right about Sann not having a computer at home then it sounds like a good reason for her not to be in touch so perhaps we're worrying unnecessarily. Let's hope so. Speak to you all soon.

lovemy3 - September 21

Hi Everyone, Glad to hear all is well. nothing going on here. Hopeful... try not too worry, although I know because of the past that must be really hard. I found that , that early on I always didn't have symptoms. I remember my b___bs felt empty and perfectly fine and I worried about that. I had cramps all the time, like I was going to start my af, but didn't. never had hunger pangs at all. Consider yourself blessed that you feel relatively normal. the emotional part is hard, just hang in there. I think the second trimester is the best!! You are doing awesome. I am all for not reading to much and try not to compare to other people at your stage in pregnancy. Everyone is different. You are doing well, keep on going. Some of my friends never felt pregnant and were. Val..how are you doing? KD..what cd are you on ? I keep having to count but I think I'm on CD26, last af on Aug 27. wow getting close to test! Yikes-lol. Anyhow, hugs to all XOXO
