My questons is what are prenatal vitamins for? and is there a certain brand you havr to buy?

Ob-gyns encourage you to take prenatal vitamins to prevent birth defects (spina bifida) and to ensure your baby's health and growth. I don't think you have to take a certain brand of prenatal vitamins. I've been taking a generic brand since I got pregnant and earlier. My ob-gyn said that a generic brand was fine and that all prenatal vitamins were the same. If you check the labels and ingredients, you'll notice that they are the same. See you doctor if they recommend one if you're concerned.
