Hi Cara, I am so sorry things are not going well for you. I go in for my u/s on the 8th and I have a feeling the same thing will happen to me.

I am in that inbetween stage where the maternity pants fall down but my regular ones don't fit! so I have been wearing the same 4 pants to work that are a couple of sizes up from my normal size. My tops all still fit me. I have picked up a few things from Old Navy as well, my problem is finding clothes for work! I have to try Motherhood, I know they have good sales. Another store is A Pea in the Pod, but they are pricey. I also picked up a couple of tops from Kohls, their selection sucks except for a couple of items. Everything is so casual, don't they think us mom-to-be's work?!

P.S. My husband and I just registered this weekend at Babys R Us, it was fun! Anyone else register yet? Good thing they have those helpful checklists!

Hi KellyB, Thanks for the other suggestions. I will try them out. I am registered also. My co-workers are throwing me a baby shower soon.

I like the stuff at Motherhood for work, and I have also picked up a couple of regular shirts just in a bigger size and they fit and look pretty good. You just have to fine one that fits on a pregnant woman too. The hardest has been finding dressy stuff for me...I have to go to a wedding, and a couple of cressy events in the next month. I havn't registered yet becuase I can't decide where to go for registration.

If you have a Ross store or Burlington Coat factory, they have some really inexpensive maternity clothes. Not a huge selection, but nice styles and great prices.

Jennifer. They just opened a motherhood store in Moncton. It is pretty good, bigger then Halifax. Its mostly summer stuff now. I have found one second had maternity shop nearby in HFX, and it has some really good stuff. I am an XS or Small size. Motherhood doesnt even sell XS sizes, so I find a lot of clothes too big. I am kinda dreading the shower...i just went through the wedding showers in the fall, and am kinda showered out, and I havent even thought about registering yet...good suggestion! Anyhow, I am rambling. I have my ultrasound tomorrow morning and will post how it goes. Nice chatting with ya(S)!

We have a motherhood store here too! I went in there and they didn't have xs or short sizes (Old navy does). Michelle, can't wait to hear about you u/s.

Hey All. Ultrasound went great! He/she has everything they should at this stage. It was kinda cute.....as soon as she started pressing into my belly, he started kicking back. My husband and I could see him kicking in the ultrasound, while I could feel him kicking. He aslo let out what looked like a huge yawn! Its so hard to believe he's just hanging out in there! I cannot wait to see him in 4-5 months! Another hint on maternity clothes.....Roots. We have an outlet in Hfx that sells maternity clothes...mostly sweats, but also some nice fleecys and shirts.

Michelle... Good to hear that everything went well at the Ultrasound. So do you know that is it a boy, or are you just in the habit of calling it a him? My husband and I do that all the time, one week it is she, she, she, and then the next it will be he, he, he. haha. So there is a Motherhood in Moncton?? When did that open?? Where in Moncton is it?? You mentioned wedding shower in the fall. Did you just get Married?

I had no idea Roots does mat. cloths as well...thanks for the tip Michelle! I live in BC so I have to check out the outlet store here for them. I'm glad your u/s went well. Infortunately my baby was fast a sleep when we did ours and his/her back was to us so we only got pictures of te back and the tiny little feet. But it was still the most amazing experience! There was little arm movements but nothing that I could feel. Has anyone heard of the 3D ultrasound? We are debating if we should do it, but I don't want to know the s_x of the baby and my husband does so if we end up going he won't be able to hold back on wanting to know the s_x. But if anyone has done it I'd like to know your experiences with it... Thanks.

Michelle, glad things went well at your u/s. We thought our last ultrasound was so cool, too. Amazing what's going on in there and such a great feeling after every doctor's appointment they things are going well. Just that professional nod of approval ties me over til the next visit! :)

Hey everyone. Congradulations Shona, and welcome into our discussion. Where are you from? The Ultrasound was amazing, and its hard to believe i will not see him/her again until the big day. However, he/she never lets me forget they are there! The last couple of nights have been rough. I've been so unconfortable, and unable to sleep, which I think have pa__sed on to the bb as he is up with me! I cannot believe there are 19 weeks left of growing. I do not know where i will put it! Is anyone in my situation? Any advice on how to catch some Zs? Good luck with your Ultrasound on Friday new-mom. Let us know how it goes
