Hello everyone, im currently 24 weeks with a little girl & my husband. During s_x i get these sharp pains in my side (feels like you have been running for a long time & not breathing right, is about the only way to describe it) I called my doctor & he said its fine, its my uterus moving is how i took it. He never told me to stop intercourse just said it will go away as i get farther along, its gotten to the point i can no longer enjoy intercourse & it REALLY sucks. haha! but i was wondering if any of you have experienced this & have you figured out a way of getting it to stop? thank you!

Hi, congrats on your little girl! My hubby and I are expecting our first daughter as well (have a 10 month old son). I had what you're describing more with my son than with this pregnancy, but what helped me was getting into different positions. It was way more uncomfortable for me to be on the bottom (asides from not being able to breathe!) than on top. You can control penetration much better on top and your man probably won't mind the view. ;) Try it with him coming from behind (doggie style or spooning). Get creative and most importantly, keep it fun! Pregnancy is an awesome time with your spouse and things go much smoother when you just laugh stuff off and lift/move your belly to switch positions. Just be comfortable with your body and play around to find what will work for you guys. (TMI) My hubby LOVES it when I'm pregnant because I get the big O so much easier and he loves when we move all over to stay comfortable. If it's really a problem, keep in mind too that there are other ways to be intimate and enjoy one another's company.Have fun and congrats again!

hey meellissaaxo. it sounds to me like you guys are doing it missionary or simply with him on top. i didn't have this problem while pregnant, but there have been times that if you are laying just "wrong" he can be crushing your chest making it hard for you to breath, and i've felt those familiar "i ran too d__n far" pains and even had the "ok really can't breath now" pains in my shoulders. i would agree with kiersten and change positions. i have found side by side is quite nice for me. right now i'm 33w2d. i know wrong forums, but i love talking to everyone =P
