When I went to the doctor he said he found some abnormal cells when he did the pap, the lab technician at first thought was that they were cancerous and or pre cancerous and they tested them and they weren't. All he told me was not to worry about that NOW, so does that mean because I am pregnant he can't and won't tell me what it is? Or is it going to be something later on. I just really wanna know if anyone has been told that and what exactly does this mean? I have no idea what they are or anything

I had this happen to me at my first pap after having my DD. They did a colposcopy and said that they were totally normal not cancerous or pre-cancerous. I went back for a pap 6 months later to follow up and it was TOTALLY normal. I would asume if it was serious your Dr would tell you now. You can always call them and ask them more questions to be sure.

i had the same problem before i got pregnant. They had found abnormal cells and told me it wasn't anything serious. but i took another pap test after few weeks to be sure and everything was just fine. In your case, i think if it was something serious, they would have told you about that. try not to worry too much.

Nerdy girl, I had abnormal cells a few years back and they did the coloscopy(where they take a larger sample of cells from your cervix and uterus) and after looking at them they said that they were "just abnormal". My dr told me that abnormal can be caused by the simplest thing as a viral cold that you have to a v____al infection to just a reaction that your body had to something it was exposed to. I was really worried about them as they were still showing abnormal after the next pap, so they did a laser proceedure where they basically laser off the top layer of cells and that causes regrowth of the cells. After that they have been fine. So don't worry, if it was something to be really concerned about they would have told you and been doing something about it. Enjoy your pregnancy and don't give it another thought. Anything that has the "C" word a__sociated with it is terrifing, but you are just fine!I hope that helps ease some of your worries :)
