Anyone Quot Fail Quot The Glocose Test

I had one done at about 3 months, which came back at 109, then another one done exactly a week ago (I'm almost 6 months) and it came back at 153, and anything over 135 by my dr's standards is too high. So today I went in to do the 3 hours gluc. tolerance test, where I was poked 4 times in those 3 hours, almost puked from the nasty drink and almost passed out from being so hungry. But I made it! Hahaha. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else had an abnormal first reading and then the second reading came back normal. I read it happens in 15-20 % of women. So just keeping my fingers crossed that I have not developed gest. diabetes...yikes.

I failed the first one, with all three of my babies!!! I told them this time, that I will only do the test if they have me do the three hour one first! I don't want to have to keep going back in and fasting for each one, when I know in the end, they'll just make me do the three hour anyway! Hope this helps!

Anyone else? I did my three hour one...still waiting for a call, but the nurse said that no news is good news...so keeping my fingers crossed.

When do you usually go for your first glucose test?? I'm 14w 5d......should it be coming up soon?

I am set up to go for mine on May 1 - I will be 26 weeks then. I am just wondering how the drink tastes? DR says its really personal preference, but just wondering who liked and disliked it. Is it just like sugar water, or what?
