Congrats to all of you who are expecting. Are any of you here a metformin success story? I could use some postive news.

I was on metformin for about a year before I fell pg. Also I started cardiprin about 2 months back before I tested positive. So am not really sure what worked for me.

I'm technically still on the first trimester forum (I'm 9w5d), but I duck in to different forms every once in a while. I am absolutely here b/c of metformin! I had 2 m/c before I was put on metformin. Then, I had surgery to remove some scar tissue in my uterus (no idea how it got there). Then, I accidentally got pregnant too soon after the surgery and I was not able to hold it. Finally, after 11 months (almost exactly) of being on metformin, I am pregnant. So far, everything is doing exactly what it should do (we've seen a heart beat twice already). Good luck!

Hello! I am definitely here because of metformin.I was put on it it to treat pcos and after about a year, it did regulate my cycles. I was not trying to get pregnant and i really did not think there was a chance of that happening anyway. So imagine my surprise when i found out that I was. I actually took 5 pregnancy tests and even called my endocrinologist to ask her how this had happened. She laughed and said "well the usual way I would imagine" but she then proceeded to tell me that alot of women are becoming pregnant after taking metformin. In my case though I think it was also due to the fact that my testosterone levels were also super high and that was also contributing to abnormal hormone levels. Because of this i was on a testosterone lowering medicine as well as the metformin. I think it was the combination of the two that did the trick in my case.
