Braxton Hicks

O.K., I am 22w6d and for a couple weeks now I've been having what I think are BH contractions. My problem is, I keep getting conflicting answers on how they feel and how often you should get them! What do you ladies who have experienced them think they feel like (the best description you can come up with) and how often do you get them? Thanks :)

I have been getting them daily since about 18 weeks. Your actually getting them from about six weeks, and some people feel them earlier than others. Basically what they feel like is your abdomen (especially your lower abdomen) getting really hard and tight. It lasts for maybe 30-45 second and then goes back to normal. As long as you are not getting them consistenlty (like 10 per hour or 10 minutes apart, that type of thing) Braxton Hicks are totally normal. They should not be painful, but they may cause some discomfort. When it comes on time for the "real" labor contractions, you'll definatley know the difference!! I was really scared of that with my first, and theres DEFINATLEY a huge difference!! :o)

I've been getting really nervous because I told my dr. I'd been getting them and he said if I have 4 in an hour then I need to come in (my husband is pretty sure he said 4 an hour for 2 consecutive hours, which hasn't happened). Sometimes though, especially when I'm walking around a lot or getting ready in the morning I get like 6 an hour. But then I'll go hours with nothing. I'm just getting worried.

Anybody else have any experience with this?
