It might sound silly but when you're overweight when does your belly get properly round?
At the moment I still look big and not pregnant. I probably shouldn't worry about this but I can't wait to have a proper belly. When will it happen? (I'm 22 weeks by the way).

I was 5'8" and 166 when I got pregnant and have gained about 17lbs at 23 wks. and right now my belly is getting more pregnant looking I also was just feeling fat and afraid to wear maternity clothes because I thought I didn't look preg but fat. But recently I have had strangers ask when I'm due so I guess i finally got rid of the fat look. Also look at www.pregnancy.about.com and look for belly photos this will help.

I think it depends on how overweight you are, and if it's your first pregnancy. No one could tell I was pregnant the first time, even when I was eight months. (I weighed 285 when I got pregnant that time, and 302 when I delivered). I'm 20 weeks into my second pregnancy, and I have a definite baby bump. (I weighed 245 when I got pregnant this time, and am up to 257). Strangers are coming up and asking when my baby's due, it's that obvious. One thing you could do is to get maternity clothes that make you look obviously pregnant. I have a top with a drawstring under the bust, and I've sewn ribbon above the belly on a couple of my other shirts. Of course then you have to put up with people patting your belly...

I am 23 weeks and overweight. I am 5'6" and 240 lbs. It is my first child. I do not look pregnant either. I would like to begin to show too. I guess it will just take a little time to begin to stick out beyond the fat! :-) I am thinking it will happen soon though because my husband says that he can tell now.
