Belly Comes And Goes

Here's another weird question: has anyone else had their belly kind of showing up then disappearing? I'm at 25 weeks and I keep waking up with a flat stomach, even if I poke it it just feels like normal tummy tissue not my uterus. Then once in awhile it'll be way way far out, like I'm 8 months along or something, and I can even feel my skin stretching. It sucks because I get my hopes up that I'm finally showing then it disappears again. Some days I look like I just had a big lunch. I was a compet_tive gymnast for 13 years but haven't been in half a decade, could leftover stomach muscles be holding my uterus in?

I am currently 21 weeks, and I have noticed the same exact thing happening. I asked my doctor about it and he said its perfectly normal, the belly changes shape as the baby changes positions. I have noticed that my stomach is flat in the morning but tends to really pop out towards the end of the day :)

Sounds like your uterus moves around a bit when you're lying down. And when standing for most of the day, your uterus flops outside the pelvic bone like it's supposed to. :P I wouldn't worry. And be excited: you're going to showing at least by the end of the pregnancy. (At at that point, you're going to be wishing you're not so big anyway!) :)

I know exactly what you are talking about. I am fifteen and half weeks and carrying twins. I get up in the moring and I'm showing but not looking huge. Till I come home at the end of the day, it's like I jumped forward two months of pregnacy and my belly is bigger. But I go to bed and get up and then I look smaller again. LOL it's kind of amusing. I haven't felt my babies kick yet but I know it will be anytime. I am so excited next week i go for an ultrasound. i am hoping to find out what i am having.
