I understand your nervous about giving birth natural, But thats what your body is made to it. It can handle it, and if for some reason you are not able to thats when a c-section is needed. Why would you want to put yourself through a major surgery if its not needed? Most woman heal up right away after doing it natural. I dont know what tearing feels like because I never tore, but honestly... dont you think having your uterus st_tched up will be a little more painful? I just dont understand why anyone would opt for a c-sectin if its really not needed. From my experience after getting an epi it really isnt that painful, just alot of pressure, but its nothing that someone wouldnt be able to handle... it feels like you have to take the biggest c___p of your life. Honestly, You can handle far more pain than you think you can. And Tish, we get that your c-section went Perfect, but the reality of it is is that most women dont heal that fast. You said it hurts, But after a v____al birth there is hardly any pain, just soreness. I dont know if you had to take pain meds but for me i didnt need anything, not even Tylenol. And every friend of mine that has had a c-section still has their scar, not that that should even matter. Your lucky that yours went so smoothly but for most people its not like that, most women arent able to hold their babies right after they are taken out, ALOT of women are put under so they arent even there to see their baby born. And then there is infection to worry about. I just dont think its worth it if you are able to go naturally without any complications. And nervousmommy one thing I would do is ask women that have had a c-sections if they feel like they missed out on a v____al birth , Tish even said shes a little upset she didnt get to try it natural. I guess I find it so unreal that you are nervous to do it naturally, and here the whole time Im terrified for a c-setion. But each to their own right?

i cannot comment how a c-section is only from what i have been told from midwifes doctors and the web. I had a normal delivery with my first child i had some rips and tears..yes i was sore for a week or two but when you get pregnant you no its not going to be a walk in the park. I only found it painful when going to the toliet, i also only spent one night it hospital after having my little girl and i was mobile right away! I am currently pregnant and may have to have a c-section as my baby is currently breached but they are going to try to turn her next week! I have read bits and bobs on the net and c-section causes death in 1/2500 women and normal delivery 1/10000 as a c-section is a major surgery no body would allow you to have it inless its in the best intrest for you and your baby(which if you experience a problem free pregnancy/delivery will be a natural delivery!) Its nice to read that a ladies c-section has gone well and i would love to hear from anyone else who had been though this surgery what to expect during and after the surgery! Also any experience on ecv's :) I think it depends on your situation if you and your baby have no reason to have surgery dont! If the best option for you and your baby is to have a c-section then do that! As for pain relief before you go straight for the epidural remember yes labour does hurt but as soon as you hold your baby in your arms the pain goes away! Also epidurals have bad side effects for you and the baby. If you need it do it but see how you feel in labour first and read about the pros and cons for you and the lil one X
