MissP & Patience- you haven't posted in about a week, is everything ok with you ladies?

Hi girls, sorry ive been mia, iv had a pretty stressfull week with the baby - basically been finding it very hard to drink all this water for my low fluid and im tired all the time, despite being on bedrest. How strange to be tired and thirsty when all im doing is resting and drinking? Am i being punishd here!! SO anyway id started getting paranoid about having the baby too early, and i read an article about the tiniest premature baby born at 21wks 6days - it was a lovely story, but it freaked me out and ive been having bad dreams. ANYWAY - thats my vent for the week. I had a docs appt yesterday where it took him 15 mins to find the heartbeat, long enough for me to start worrying but he did find it in the end - he says my placenta is right at the front and blocking the noise. So alls well. Im just freaking myself out basically!! This is my first and i guess its scary the first time you do anything when you dont have previous experience to lean on. Today my little boy has been leaping about happily so that makes me feel better. Also i put on 5lbs in 2 weeks! I was not at all happy as im supposed to be aiming for a 20lb gain maximum and thats a quarter of it gone in 2 wks. I guess i should be thankfull to have gotten to 19wks without putting any on, so here i am at 21wks and im up 5lbs. Thats not to bad. My bump measures big for my weeks but i already know that from the comments ive been getting from people! So that was my fun week. x x

Hi Catsmommy, basically, one of us should start this thread again in the second trimester board as its getting a bit long now and call it October Mommies 2 and then just continue like that until one of us early ones gets to 26weeks? Anyone know when the third tri officially starts? Im just guessing. Also im sorry to hear about those painfull BH. I dont know if iv had them yet. Ive had some strange pains but i couldnt tell you what they are exactly. I hear bh could be painless sometimes and you might not even know your having them. Anyway Ej, you seem to be the most regular girl on here, you should start a new one for us here so we dont have to scroll so much. Patience - what happened at your scan, re the low fluid? Hows things? Saird, im very sorry about your husband, that must be tough for you on top of being pregnant. Is he going to have an operation? To everyone talking names all your names are very nice. We are going for somthing non-family as both my sils are due in June and they hav nicked the 2 family names i liked. So we like Tyler, Malachi or Dylan. Havnt exactly picked and we are still calling our man 'little sarah'! as thats my name and we both thought i was having a girl initially! Hopefully we are not confusing him in anyway haha. Anyway i should go and drink some more (what joy) so i will post again soon, take care girls x x

Hey everyone. I am doing fine. We should start a new thread on this post for a while. I am due on Oct 1 and Im 22 weeks on tues so we have a little ways to go. I have no idea when the 3rd tri starts. Ive read everywhere from 24 wks to 27 wks to 28 wks. So???? Im think it is 27 because that would leave 13 wks left in the 3rd tri. Miss P my scan was fine, no fluid problems. I just dont have one big pocket of fluid like I did with my son, lots of little ones. My little boy was jumping all over inside me 2 days ago but Ive just had a couple little jabs the last 2 days. I havent had much to say though. I did quit my job though. It was not allowing me and my family to go anywhere and do anything so I gave it up. I dont want to spend the next 5 months before this baby is born working and not enjoying the beautiful summer. My dh is still gone. He will be home in 2 weeks, I cant wait. I hate it when hes not here. Well, anyways, like I said kind of boring. Dont have much to say. I would like some advice though. If any of you have ever traveled by car at 27 weeks or later, tell me how it went. I got the ok from my midwife to take 1100 mi road trip for two weeks and Ill be 27 weeks at the time. DH and I are debating driving it all the way through (driving all night 29 hrs) or stopping at a hotel. This is not a question about whether or not I should travel, IM GOING! Later girls.

Hi patience, im glad alls well on your scan. Like you i have 4 tiny pockets of fluid, measuring between 1.5 - 3cm each. 10cm total. So thats not good, it should be double that. Still he can live ok, its just a bit of a squeeze! I think hes quite big aswell so i have a feling he wont like being so cramped and will want to come arly. Just intuition right now but lets wait and see. I think a long car journey is ok as long as its on good roads and you can take plenty of naps when you need to. I mean stop aswell and stretch your legs, eat regularly. I dont know if it might be better to sleep somewhere half way, but just go with how you feel i would say. If your dh dosnt mind taking over while you have a nap then whatever you think! Ok im off to bed i feel the yawns coming. Im gonna start a new thread girls as no-one else is!! Se you on Oct moms 2!!
