Chronic Yeast Infections

Anybody have chronic yeast infections in pregnancy? This is getting ridiculous. I've had three in the past four weeks. Maybe it's the same one that keeps recurring, I don't know, but either way, it's driving me crazy. I'm tired of being so uncomfortable. I'm doing everything I can to prevent them but it's not working. I'm sick of monistat too because it makes the itching worse and I can't sleep at night. This is my fourth child and I've never dealt with such a problem before. Any advice?

i have the same problem. i hate it! sometimes it is so bad that i almost can't take it. i have started eating organic yogurt every day and that seems to be helping.

I think I've found the cure! I was taking acidopholus but you have to take one that has at least 14 billion culture.... whatever it's called! : ) The cheap ones you buy at Walmart only have like 1 billion. However, that is just prevention. I finally found something that kills it long term! Drum roll....... BORIC ACID. I know it sounds painful but it doesn't hurt at all and my midwife suggested this. I had to go to the health store and buy empty capsules and a bottle of powdered boric acid. I spent about a half hour filling 100 capsules. For about a week, I inserted one v____ally before bed each night as high as I could get it. After one week, all symptoms are gone. Even the odor that I could not shake is finally gone. For prevention sake, I plan to continue inserting one once a week just to wipe out any forming yeast. The boric acid is much cleaner and less irritating than monistat. Monistat makes me itch and is so gross and messy. Boric acid is not nearly as bad. Just thought I would throw this out there in case anybody else wishes to try it. It is all over the internet, even doctors agree that boric acid will kill 98 percent of yeast infections. I'd never even heard of that but it worked wonders for me. I'm finally symptom free and relieved to have gotten rid of it. Best of all.... IT'S CHEAP!
