Was wondering when the dark line from the belly button to the pubic bone starts? Does every pregnant woman get it? I think I may see something very faint, will be 17 weeks tomorrow.

I have a very faint line I'm 14 weeks. I presume that it depends on each woman..

I was going to ask the same thing. I am 23 weeks and I don't have one yet.

The line is called Linea Nigra, and it happens to 90% of women (I am told). I have red hair and white, white skin and I didnt't get it- it is from Melanin in your skin, which I don't have because I can't get a tan. I am 22 weeks.

I thought I may have seen it last night but not sure, it may be faint, I also have red hair and really white skin. Thank you Nicole, I was wondering what caused that line.

Thanks Nicole, I too wondered what that line was.. I mean I knew that it was normal but didn't know what caused it! Do you think 14 weeks is early to have a light line?
