I don't know if its just working crazy hours...or living overseas...or being in a company house...but I am just feeling so lonely sometimes...its weird...this is my 2nd pregnancy...and I didn't really have it with my first one (maybe a little)...but it's just hard to shake...I tend to be good spirits...but sometimes I just get so down in the dumps...sorry just had to get that off my chest...thanks for listening ...err, reading....

Hi Cookie, I think what you're feeling is totally valid and happens to woman alot while pregnant. I am prego with my first and I have days where I just feel terribly depressed and I'm not sure what it is either. It sounds like you have a lot going on with work, living arrangements (if you miss family, friends) and feeling lonely. It's completely reasonable for you to feel a bit low. Plus, our hormones are raging and add to our sad feelings at times. My DH works alot and is in school so I feel lonely a lot too and I"ve noticed it's much worse now that I'm prego. I cry a lot and feel neglected and since I'm prego most of my friends are busy at bars, nightlife and I can't join in. I feel sort of isolated myself. I just keep thinking about how wonderful this baby will be and how much love I have to give him or her. You're pregnant so don't beat yourself up for feeling low. It's an amazingly insane experience!! :) Our emotions are all over the place. Hang in there. Maybe book a ma__sage or do something nice for yourself!

I know how you feel. I feel really lonely a lot and I cry at least once a day. I hope you feel better soon. It sounds like you have a lot going on. Don't be too hard on yourself. Everyone says it is normal to get a little depressed. If it doesn't go away, don't be afraid to talk about it or consider getting help for it. You are not alone. I'm thinking I may eventually have to talk to a doctor about it. I just keep hoping it goes away. Thinking happy thoughts about the baby or going for walks or doing something to take my mind off myself helps. Things will get better!

Hiya Cookie, I know what you mean about feeling lonely. I don't really know why either. I have a great husband and a hyper dog to keep me company every day and still...I'm like blahhh. Maybe its the hormones, I dunno....

thanks girls, it helps hearing it from others as well...It just seems to hit me at night, when dh is maning the restaurant, and I'm home with my daughter...it just makes me feel so far away from home...we are in scotland until after the baby is born (we found out the week before we were moving)...and although my folks are arriving tomorrow for the summer...it sort of adds to the stress b/c we are working for them this summer...but I think alot of this must just be the pg...same as sometimes looking in the mirror and just feeling blah...my dh is wonderful and keeps telling me how s_xy,etc I am...but seriously I look in the mirror...I know the truth..lol...thank goodness for makeup...
