I am 13 weeks, my CBC came back fine. The doctor is just "mildly" concerned that my white blood count is 'slightly elevated'. It should be between 10 - 12 and mine is 13.7. They want me to get it redone. They claim there is no need for great concern, but to late for that? I have not been sick lately either. Has this happened to anyone else?

mine to was elevated somewhere in that range @ 27 wks. It is not uncommon and is part of pregnancy. I think up to 16 is normal. Hope this makes you feel better.

my daughter's was elevated at 33 it was 22, week 34 it was 18, week 35 it is 16.9. I read somewhere it goes up towards labor but her doctors are concerned and says it should be under 12. what does it mean when wbc is to high?

As a MLT I can tell you that an elevated WBC is usually a sign that your body is fighting off an infection. What kind of infection....well there will have to be different tests run to discover that. But I am sure that you are ok, since your WBC isn't all that high. Good luck

i'm 11 weeks, the ER doctor didn't know i was pregnant and mine was elevated to 14.1 he said it was extremly high and he was worried, but he also didn' tknow i was pregnant, so could my pregnancy be why it was so high, he thought it would be under 10. any help?
