I was going pee yesterday and when I wiped their wasa bright red blood. I looked in the toilet and the toilet was full of blood. I spent the night in the hospital and they have no clue where the blood came from. The baby was fine. I am just a little worried about the blood.

OMG austynsmommy I am so glad the baby is ok. Do you know where your placenta is? I had bleeding with clots with ds at 13wks & it turned out I had a low lying placenta & they said that is where the bleeding came from. Anyway I hope they figure out what caused it & I pray you don't have any more bleeding. Let us know what happens.

I would be scared too!! I hope everything is okay. I guess its good they didnt find anything wrong with the baby, but its still weird they dont know where all the blood came from. I will cross my fingers for you that you and your babe remain healthy.

The placenta was fine. They did an ultrasound and everything looked good. It was just like a very heavy period. He has been so active. I am already dialated to 1cm. So I am just taking it easy or trying to with my almost two year old.

austynsmommy- have you had an ultrasound prior to this? I was wondering if it may have been a subchorionic hematoma (sp). I had one early on, it is just a blood spot that occurs at implantation and sometimes can cause bleeding. If it is not reabsorbed (as mine was) you will experieince bleeding. I am so glad you and your baby are doing well. Have they put you on bedrest for awhile?

austynsmommy - I' so glad that you and the baby are great! That would really scare me too, but maybe it is what clindholm said - a blood spot from implantation? Well, take care of yourself, and again, I'm glad you two are ok!!

I had an ultrasound at 10 weeks and then another at 20 weeks. I am feeling ok though.
