Hi all, I am 18 weeks pregnant and I have a camping trip planned in a few weeks, I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be safe to ride in a ski boat (no Of course I wouldnt be skiing, just riding in the boat)? Is it ok to jump off a boat and swim in a cool lake? I am just worried a bit and I know not to do anything extreme but is it ok to enjoy some of things everyone else is? Thanks!

Yes it's safe. Have fun! I'd skip water skiing though.

It would be perfectly safe. As long as you wouldn't actually be skiing. You only want to keep from doing things where you can fall and perhaps injure yourself along with the baby. Like horseback riding. And jumping into water to swim is probably one of the best activities you CAN do. Swimming is considered to be one of the best and safest pregnancy related exercises. Have fun and don't worry. Just don't do anything that would perhaps make it possible for you to fall and you will be fine.

This is probably nuts, but my mom told me to make sure if I jumped into a pool when I was pregnant, to keep my legs together, so that water wouldn't be forced into the v____a.
