OK! I know it is a bit early to be planning the christening but I need to think about it at least. This is our first baby so we have never done this before. We have chosen Godparents and know what will happen in relation to the ceremony but don't know what we should be planning for afterwards.. DH & I both have huge families so will have about 120 guests to invite (including all the children, which actually make up more than half the guests). Do we just hire a venue and provide some food and drink - Do we need some music or entertainment - Can we just have some music playing on a CD player in the background whilst the guests mingle and pass baby around. I am actually getting quite stressed about this whole thing. If I had my way I would just invite Godparents and grandparents and go somewhere for lunch afterwards, but that would upset a LOAD of people. Aaarrrgghh. I would appreciate your advice and any experience you may have had with christenings - Any that you may have attended -what you liked and disliked. Thanks
