for about hte last week i've been getting horrible pains in my ribs- on the left side just below my br___tbone. basically where my bra strap is. Anyone else getting these pains? if so any suggestions how to get rid of it. it hurts the most when i am in a sitting position (which is most of the day since i have a desk job). anyway, the pain can be unbearable at times. help!

I am not sure hon. I have not experienced this. Maybe something getting squished as the baby grows bigger? I would check in with the doc about this as it doesnt sound very comfortable. I hoep you get it sorted soon! Best of luck!

I haven't had that yet but I think if you get some bras without an underwire it might help - I am sure it's because as the baby grows he/she pushes everything up I know in time your body adjusts and it gets better. Hope that helps

well, i just called my doctor and they were completely unhelpful. she acted like i needed to suck it up or something. it may be totally normal, but it is still painful and it makes me mad my doctor gave me no advice whatsoever!

I am really bothered by the posts on here where several ladies including myself have gotten zero help from their doctors! Whether it's your first or 10th child we still want/need answers/rea__surance! Buckeye I am so sorry your doctor was so jerky!

Thanks cors1wfe. i agree. this is my first baby so i don't know what is normal and what is not. but i have only called my dr. one other time so it is not like i call and bug her for any little thing. it is their job! i may go to an urgi-care tonight to see if they can help.

Absolutley buckeye - you deserve an answer, and I agree that it is really frusterating to have a dr that really doesn't seem to want to help you not worry. Isn't that why they go into the medical profession - to help people?? I think they forget that most times. Grrrrr.....

I am not pregnant anymore, but when I was 24 weeks about with my daughter, I had terrible rib pain like that as well. We could find nothing wrong, so just chalked it up to pressure from baby, and nerves and all that. I agree though, your doctor should definitely be more helpful!!

Hi buckeye74. Well I am only 16 weeks and 1 day - and I have the EXACT same thing. Pain in the ribs - left hand side, just below the b___st - kind of like a sharp stabbing pain - mine is the worst when I am laying down at night? I have no idea what it is either, but I will ask my doc at next app - wont be for a couple of weeks though - will keep you posted!!

WOW IM SO RELIEVED!!!!!!! i have been questioning myself about how im dealing with my dr and the aches and pains ive been having. I CANT GET MY DR TO CALL ME BACK!!!!! it so frustrating. just because somethings are "normal" to other women its new to me!! so why do the drs feel that they can treat me like im always making a big deal about some things.

Thank you cor1wfe for saying that. i just started on this forum yesterday and its so comforting to see that im not alone. i donr have any friends that r pregnant right now so i have no one to vent to or ask those stupid little questions to>>> THANKS YOU GUYS R SO SWEET!!!!!!!
