my last period was Oct 5, 2004, and i supposed to be around 17 or 18 wks pregnant, but today I had my first sonogram and they told me that I was only 13 wks, Could they be wrong???? please help me

Usually the sonograms are more accurate than counting from your last period. Your last period is just a guidline for the doctors to figure out your estimated due date. I'd go with the ultrasound results.

Unless you are not sure when concieved then I would go with your dates. All of my boys were big and some of the Dr.s wanted to date them earlier but I know exactly when the were concieved give or take a day or two (not a week or two)

i had a similar experience when i went for my 12 wk ultrasound...when the doctor measured the baby he said it was bigger than expected and changed my due dates from aug 12 to aug 4 and put me a week ahead to 13wks and not 12.....i am now 17wks and due to have my 20wk ultrasound in a few weeks time!
