I Have To Get A Colposcopy

Hi =) Ok, I am 13 weeks pregnant, and 2 weeks ago at my last appoinment, my midwife scheduled a colposcopy cause I had an abnormal pap smear.. I don't understand!! Is there something wrong with me? She said it wouldn't affect the baby, but I am really scared.. Any advice?

Hey, I have had multiple colposopy's and you have NOTHING to worry about. I actually had to have one about the same time you did and everything was fine. They will just want to do another checkup probably at your 6 week postpartum. I stressed out too, but you honestly have nothing to worry about. Just try to stay as stress free as possible, you don't want to worry about more than you already have to! I am now in my 26th week and still going strong. Don't worry you will be just fine! :)

if you have hpv then thats why you had it done i have hpv and had one when i was 6 weeks to check my cervix for warts
