I have been stressing so much about miscarriage... i was wondering.I am at the start of week 13, is it common to miscarry? Or is miscarriage very less likely?

Hi Amber, I'm 18 weeks and was told by my Dr that I might be miscarrying. I woke up one morning and was bleeding a lot. there were no other symptoms, but the Dr kept me under observation for 24hrs. It's been 2 weeks now (with no bleeding)and just today I started having an "old blood" discharge. They don't know what it's caused by, you just have to stay strong, happy and my best advice is to stay positive and happy for the baby! Don't do anything too strenuous! I hope this helps you........just pray for the best.

Most miscarrages happens so early that the mother may not have known she was pregnant. The farther along you get, the less likely it is to happen. By the time you hit the 2nd trimester, it's even less likely. There are exceptions to the rule, but it isnt really that common. If something unusual happens, or doesnt feel quite right, get it checked out. It is sometimes hard to believe there is a little baby in there when you are still not showing or feeling fetal movement isnt it? My advise is not to worry. Chance are your baby will be just fine. And so will you!

hello, after your first trimester i am sure the risk of miscariage becomes less and less, the further into the pregnancy you are, the more chance your going to keep the baby, i know its very hard at the moment not to worry but take it easy and reduce your stress. hope ive helped.. good luck!
