Hi ladies I'm back & it was SOOOO good to get away, I REALLY needed the holiday. Thankyou to everyone who wished me a happy b'day the other week, hubby organised his mum to look after the kids & we went out for a romantic dinner - haven't had one of those in AGES. We went over to Morton Island for our holiday & it was absolutely beautiful (Morton is an island along the cost of Australia). It was so picturesque with white sands & blue water, it kinda looked like a picture of Fiji or something out of a holiday brochure. The kids LOVED the huge sandpit (beach) & were so active they didn't once put up a fight to go to bed at night. The only bad thing was the place we stayed in was a 1 room unit, so it was a little frustrating at times being around the kids 24/7, & not being able to send them to their room for time out. I haven't had any problems weeing myself as I have been so worried about it happening that I do my pelvic floor exercises ALL the time lol. I probably over do it, but I'm a little paranoid about having an accident. I have however been seeing bright spots now & then & they are so bad at times that it blurs my vision for at least 20mins. I have always have low blood pressure so don't know if it could be that, & I don't have a app at the hospital til next week so haven't yet told anyone. Anyone else seeing bright spots or have an idea what it could be from?

Hi im new to the site and im 23 weeks pregnant with my first child. We are having a boy. None of my friends have kids yet and talking to my mother...well it just doesnt quite work. I am tired all the time, my back is killing me and certain foods can send me into sickness. I find it frustrating that I just cant get everything done that I could before. How does everyone manage their daily lives and still enjoy what you can from this life changing experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hope everyone is doing fabulously! We were able to feel our little man kicking from outside the tummy this weekend for the first time! I saw my entire tummy move after a good jab and then after that we could feel it from the outside. I was so glad that my hubby gets to be in on the excitement with me, I have been feeling this little future football/soccer player kick since 13 weeks! One of my kitties was laying on my tummy last night, little man didn't like it, kicked once really hard, the kitty looked at me funny, then one more good hit and kitty jumped off! It was TOO funny. I have to have the glucose test Thursday (yuck). Talk to you all soon +++Cyndi+++

Hey ladies, how is everyone doing this week? I can't believe I'll be 26 weeks on Monday - it's seems like just yesterday I was 12 weeks lol. My little girl has been less active the last day or two - but I figure as long as she's still moving that's ok right?

Well I saw the midwife yesterday & everything looks great with bubs & I am measuring exactly 26wks. I was right thinking that the bright spots I've been seeing were caused from low blood pressure, because after taking my bp she said it was rather low & I could be suffering from hypotension. She said that it isn't dangerous (unless it drops really low) & it won't hurt the baby & as my pregnancy progresses it should ease of as my body makes more blood to compensate. But for now unfortunately there's not much I can do to stop the bright spots, except get up slowly, & make sure I'm drinking LOTS of water. Oh well at least I know it's not something serious that could harm the baby.

I had my 3D ultrasound today! It was sooo amazing! We got to see him yawn several times, and he was playing with his feet most of the time. He had 10 fingers and 10 toes, and was absolutely beautiful. Towards the end of the session, my MIL said that she would have laughed so hard if the sonographer had come back and told us it was a girl. I kid you not, the next frame on the screen was my little angel flipping us off. It was so funny. Of course we got a copy of that picture, and so did my MIL! My hubby was like, "That's my boy!"

Just so you know, ladies, I will be 27 weeks tomorrow! I will move January moms over to the 3rd trimester board! Oh my goodness! How exciting! We're getting so much closer!

Your so lucky mcbee. I really wanted to get a 3d ultrasound but my cars heater just went out so we have to fix that this month because it is getting cold and with the hollidays approuching I know we won't be able to afford it. We want one more baby after Ethan so we will get one then. I am feeling pretty good. I just feel huge. I am 26 weeks already. This pregnancy is going by so fast. Have a great day ladies.

Hey ladies...well I had my glucose test on Fri - and my doctor called yesterday to say that my results came back in the 'grey area'. So now I have to go do the longer test to see if the resuolts are normal or if it could be gestational diabetes! Has anyone ever had to go for the second test? Eeek!!!

Hey girls! How is everyone? mcbee - I wish I could have gotten a 3d u/s too...that sounds amazing! E - sorry I don't have those bright spots, but like you said drink water, etc. I'm good - I'll be 26 weeks this Friday...I can't believe we are all getting close to the 3rd trimester...time has flown. And, there is still so much to do - find a baby doc, take cla__ses, showers, etc. Oh, and I don't get my glucose test until 28 weeks (since I'm RH neg., they are combining those two blood draws/tests for me). Well, take care!

Sounds like we are all just moving right along. BBdreams--Ugh on having to take the Glucose Tolerance Test (the 3 hour ordeal). I have to take the regular test sometime after this Friday, they want me to be over 26 weeks. I had heard (for the first glucose test) to not eat sugar for 24 hrs before and to only eat a light breakfast about 2 hrs before the test (no sugar, no bread, no juice or milk, only egg and meat) and only drink water the morning of the test. I hope this will help as i do not want to get the 3 hr deal! best of luck to you. I had a follow up appt last Thurs (was 24 wks 6 days) and my belly was measuring 29 weeks! Doc told me not to be concerned as it could have been fluid or the baby's position affecting the uterus. I have an u/s on the 20th, so we'll know then if my boy is really measuring ahead. He's been kicking up a stormt he past 2 weeks and making my whole tummy shake, I love it! Hope everyone else is doing well.
