Just 12 Weeks 2 Mounds In My Uterus

I'm 12 weeks and feel my fundus just below my belly button already. My belly "popped" at around 9 weeks (strangers have felt comfortable enough to ask when I was due!). I've felt the baby moving for about 2 weeks now. (This is my 3rd so I am certain its fetal movement and not gas). Well, last night I felt 2 mounds in my belly. One 3/4 of the way up and the other above my c-section scar. It's not the scar or scar tissue, this is something new. They were very prominent and didn't seem to be connected. Am I crazy here or would you begin to question twins, too?
I have a sonogram scheduled for Friday. My last baby was born 9 weeks early (placenta previa gone bonkers I guess) so they're treating this one with kid gloves out of policy not necessity. But it's making me nuts thinking I could have twins.
Thoughts?

Hi Ladies. So it's just one! Boy were we nervous. I had a sono at 12 weeks and we found out it's a boy. The tech was certain...he just let it all hang out for us all to see. Haha. The dreams continue though, 1 girl, 1 boy..twins! They do need to catch up with reality! Haha. Hope you're keeping healthy and feeling well!
