Hi ladies...so this is my first pregnancy and I have been experiencing morning sickness from about 7 weeks and on....but in the last week everything has heightened. I am throwing up EVERYTHING. Those pesky cramps are back that you get in the beginning , and I swear that if anyone even looks at my chest, I can feel it. Has anyone else experienced this? I had been pretty miserable with the morning sickness....and everyone kept saying "It get better.", but it has really gotten much much worse. I have an appointment with my mid-wife on Wednesday, but was looking for some insight from some ladies with experience.
Any help would be appreciated...
thanks in advance.

If you are throwing up everything you eat, then you need something to give you some relief. It isn't good for you or the baby to be that stressed. There are medications that can help, one is called Fenergen and I forget the names of the other ones. You need to talk to whom ever is providing you care and get something, you shouldn't have to suffer like that. Feel better. :o}

thanks for the reply...I am heading into week 13....but this last one has been horrible. I felt uncomfortable taking meds during the formative stages...but now that I am heading into my 2nd trimester...I feel a little better about taking something...I am desperate...If one more person tells me to eat saltine crackers and drink ginger ale...or tells me it's all worth it in the end...I think I might kill them...I am at the end of my rapidly fraying rope.

Well, I am a firm believer in meds is you need them, and it really sounds like you need some relief. I feel for you. I had morning sickness with my first and with this pregnancy, but never actually threw up, just felt like I was going to. With my first I was only sick for about 4 weeks and only in the mornings for about 4 hours. This time I was sick for more like 8 weeks and it lasted all d__n day. At times I wished I would just puke and get it over with, but it never happened. Let me know how you are doing.

Hi, I just want to let you know that it does get better. My morning sickness stopped around week 16. But just like you it heightened at week 12 and 13. I was on Zofran for it because I was also unable to keep anything down, including water. I had begun to lose weight and get dehyrated. When I entered my second trimester I was about 12 pounds lighter than my prepregnancy weight. So there is relief out there and these medicines have been around for a long time and are safe. Good Luck.

I took Zofran and Phenegran around 8 weeks to about 18 - and was stil sick till about 20 weeks. I couldn't keep anything down at all so it was certainly better to take meds than to not eat or drink - or end up in the hospital. There really isn't anything that will get rid of in, unfortunately. Even on meds I still felt c___ppy but could at least eat and drink. :) Well, I guess child birth would help! :) The meds are pretty safe - otherwise they wouldn't have us take them. I also tried Vitamin B6 with Unisom - but it didn't work for me. If you'd rather take something lighter that might do it for you. But, please check with your doctor first before you take anything!
