Im 24 weeks now. Is it true that the baby can hear very well at this stage. Can i play some music or songs for him. Has anyone try playing music for the baby. Anyone talking to the baby?

Yes your baby can hear very well now. I talk to my baby all the time. I'm 7 months now and I started talking to it when I was in my third month. I haven't really played music for her but I plan to and also read stories to her.

I'm 24 weeks too, I play her music, I bought a baby cla__sical music cd, She moves around alot when I play it, so I know that she hears it. I figure it can't hurt to try everything I can to make her happy and healthy.

I read an article that said that music can possibly have an effect on the fetus. They suggested getting children's books and reading them aloud. A recent study has shown this to have a greater effect on the baby then music. Not only that, once the baby is born, try reading the same book you read while pregnant. They say in the study it was shown the baby showed a calming effect, as if they remember having mommy read to them in the womb. Music, is unsure. There are so many other noises going on in your stomach. From blood flow to digestion noise, but they definitely respond to Mommy's voice.
