hi i was wondering if the umbilical cord could get wrapped around the babies neck when you are 4 months pregnant, im only 16 i dont know much about this please help me

I had your same concerns when I was pregnant with my first child. I asked my doctor how they could tell other than ultrasound, if the cord was wrapped around the babies neck, she said that at least 20% of babies are born with the cord around there neck and there is no way to tell if it is. It isnt a concern untill you are pushing during labor. Doctors are aware of the signs of the cord being wrapped during labor, My daughter was born with the cord wrapped around her neck, my doctor was very fast and cut the cord as soon as her head was out and she could see the cord. I understand your concern!!! Have trust in your doctor, and if you are really concerned just ask the doc questions!!!

me again!! I just wanted to tell you that you should talk to your doctor very openly about any concerns that you might have. Ask all the questions that come to mind, that is what the doc is there for!!!
