I am 15 weeks pregnant and I have been experiencing a taste in my mouth throughout this entire pregnancy (did not happen with my son). My mouth always tastes as though I have eaten pennies. It occurs most when I have anything sweet. I try to avoid sweets as much as possible, but any amount of sugar (even from fruit) sets it off. Has anyone else had this symptom? What does it mean?

I've had that too. Exactly the same thing, mostly from sweet stuff. I avoid it too.

I had a metalic taste in my mouth before I knew I was pregnant, and every once in a while I get it again. No idea what it is? Dr. never heard of it either?

the penny taste is more than likely something to do with the iron in your blood. Is it a high level or are you on iron pills for your pregnancy. I was for my first two and had the same thing. Just a suggestion.
