Does anyone know if it is safe to use Proactive during your pregnancy? I am 12w 6d so tomorrow will be 2nd tri. I ask my doc yesterday and he didn't know enough about the product to give me an answer.

Hi ejmeskan - I knwo there are a lot of differing opinions on this as I asked the same question at about 12w! Some say yes, others no. I think it allcomes down to personal choice and what you are comfortable with. I asked my obgyn dr who is also a dermatologist, and she said that she does not recomend using it during pregnancy. So I haven't, but the problem has cleared up somewhat around 14-15w I noticed it got better.Best of luck!

Wow- an Ob that is also a dermatologist- she is motivated! ha! Ok I will definitely take her advice then!!! I will just get some over the counter stuff...it usually never works but I will try it! Thanks!

I know!! Her clinic is crazy. She delivered babies up until last year and now has stopped after 15 years! Of course - the year I have my baby she doesn't deliver anymore! Figures! But both her and her partner do dermitological and some minor other estetic procedure stuff. Very busy lady! SHe said to try and stay clear of any over the counter medication type cleansers and to just use a gentle face cleanser and moisturizer twice a day. And drink lots and lots of water!! It will get better!

Wow that is insane! So even like just Purpose or Neutrogema isn't good? I have just been using caress! My first pregnancy my skin was better than it has EVER been so this is craziness!!
