Cris, I am in my 21st week and I am exhausted ALL the time! This is my second pregnancy, I had a miscarriage over the summer at 10 weeks. Now I could sleep all day too! I work from home so I am lucky but the minute I lay down the phone starts ringing. I work out about 3 times a week at Curves and that helps with my energy level. I thought my iron might be low and it was by .1!! Should be 11.5 mine was 11.4 so not an excuse. How old is your first one? Are you running around trying to keep up? I thought we were supposed to get a huge burst of energy this trimester!! Not me!! :)

Cris, me too. I am 23 weeks 2 days pregnant with our second and am so tired I could sleep anytime, except at night, go figure. I can't seem to sleep well at night and it is driving me nutts! I toss and turn and wake up about every 2 hours, then it takes me about 30-45 minutes to get back to sleep. We just put our two year old in a big girl bed and now on top of everything else she is getting up between 6:45am and 7:30, instead of 8am-9am. I am going to lose my mind. she does nap, but that is when I try to do the dishes, fold laundry and what ever else needs to be done. by 4 pm I am fall down tired. My hubby has a very demanding job and isn't normally home until right before bedtime, so I have to do pretty much the whole night time routine alone.

Mjv, I am with you on the can not sleep at night. It is so aggravating! Then I get restless legs and HAVE to get out of bed and move around. When I get up to go to the bathroom, it takes me 30-45 minutes to go back to sleep too. I did have 2 solid nights of sleep this week, other than that, a few hours here and there. I was going to take a Tylenol pm but could not find them in the house. I hate to take anything like that but if the no sleeping persists, I will have to.

Hi, I am almost 14 weeks and I am the same way. I was not this tired with my son but this pregnancy is kicking my b___t. I keep waiting to feel better! By the way my son in 2.5.

Frances, I wouldn't worry about the Tylenol PM. I had the actual Influenza and lived on the stuff for a week. I talked to my OB first and he told me that there have been so many studdies on Tylenol and pregnancy, that he was extremely comfortable in telling me it was okay to take as recommended on the botle. During the day I would take between 600 and 800mg every 4 to six hours and at night before bed I would take 1000mg of Tylenol PM. I am well now and I still take the PM every so often, just to get to sleep. I too don't like to take medications, over the counter or not, but at some point you have to get some consistent sleep, that alone could put stress on you and thus stress on the baby. Get some sleep!! --Patience2008, welcome! I feel your pain. This pregnancy is a lot harder on me too. Isn't it enough that we have toddlers to chase?! Anyway, when are you due?

I'm 15 weeks and i am so very tired all day everyday! LOL if i could sleep all day long i would too! LOL

Patience2008 - March 31

I am due between Sept 29 and Oct 1. Its kind of weird but I had a very early u/s done on a portable machine that said either Sept 29 or Oct 1 and based on my lmp it is Sept 30. So hopefully my real u/s in about 6 weeks will give me a more definite number.
