Shooting Pains

Hello everyone... I'm from the 1st trimester board. Noone seems to be having my problems so I thought I might ask here. I'm exactly 7 weeks tomorrow. These past few days I've been getting shooting pains on my left and right sides, sort of where the ovaries are. Sometimes the pain is on both sides at once sometimes just the left or the right. It's not painful and doesn't last long, may be a few seconds everytime, but a few times a day. I'm just wondering if this is normal? Also I've been losing appet_te all week. Before I found out I was pg and up to last week I could just eat whatever, now I don't seem to want to eat anything. Has anyone experienced or is experiencing this as well? Is it probably because I feel nauseous most of the time? Thanks in advance. Hope mummies and babies are doing great!

Hi Fran, I'm 19 weeks and I started having those same pains early in my pregnancy. My doctor told me it's from the ligaments that are attached to your uterus that are streching to hold it. My doctor told me it's common and normal. I also started losing my appet_te right when I hit my second trimester. I actually lost 7 pounds. My doctor told me to start drinking Boost drinks, they're kinda like Ensure drinks. They're next to the vitamin isle in the grocery store. They give you the extra vitamins and calories that you need while you're pregnant if you're not getting them from food.

Hi Michelle, thank you so much for replying. It's such a relief! I just can't seem to stop worrying over little things. I can't wait for the 12 week mark when I can chill a bit and enjoy my pg more! Good luck with your pregnancy, and here's to a happy and healthy remaining 6 (?) months! =)
