Okay so I have my anatomy scan set for August 1st but I had to go into the OB today it was not my regular doc and he put the doppler on for literally 30 seconds, said he heard the hb but lost it and that he was sending me for an ultrasound to be safe. Now I have a doppler and listen every night and It was crazy how he just gave up. Anyway I will be 15 weeks tomorrow. so I go and have the u/s and he ordered a transva___al and I asked the women (by the way she got the hb immediately) if she could tell the s_x and she said no it was too early. Now with my son Michael they told me at 13 weeks and with Ethan they alluded to something at 12 weeks so I waited and at the end she was telling me everything was good etc. I asked her so you did not see a p__s and she said to me that if she had to take a guess today and they hate to do it now due to liability issues she would guess a boy but she said that is just a guess, nothing is for sure. So what do you think, is it a boy or has anyone got a prediction early like that for a boy and it turned out to be a girl. I am happy with either, just want a healthy baby.

I had a prediction of boy at 13 weeks. This particular doctor (that did the u/s at the hosp, not my regular docs office at the NT scan) has a 90% success rate determining s_x at this stage. I will go on Monday for the 2nd Tri screening and should find out for sure. I think you may have to wait til Aug 1st since your doc said it was just a guess. Try not to count on it.

My doctor said the same thing! I'll be 21 weeks on the 18th. I'm going In on the 20th to get a 3D ultra sound for the babies s_x. But I looked online and they say a girl is 140 heart beats a min and a boy is under 140 beats a min. I called and asked her and she said that hasn't failed her yet. A lot of ladies bring It up to her, I've been going with girl so far. As the heart beat Is over 140 :). Then again she said anything Is possibly, but I'm pretty certain It Is a girl. There's other ways to tell, I know people who get the U/S for the gender, and It has come up wrong. My sister had one, and the doctor said a boy. She had a baby girl 2 months ago lol.
