Looks like I maybe one to have an "AF" during pregnancy. Of course it's not a normal period, or a period at all (so the doctor says). I do believe him because Im 14 weeks 2 days, I didn't find out I was indeed pregnant until 11 weeks because I had an "AF" every month. However it was never on the same days.
IE: My normal is from the 11th-17th....but in Jan is was from the 17-20, Feb from the 19th - 22 and this month is just started today, the 25th. So I never know when it's coming and it's not like a normal AF. Very light with very light cramping but having to deal with it and the growing pains at the same time is miserable :(.
But the doc says everything is fine, the baby is still moving so Im still happy. It can be scary sometimes thought not knowing if there is something wrong or just something thats going to happen until you give birth. I guess I am just one of those women. My mom was one too she had her "AF" every month up until she had my brother.
Has anyone else had this or heard of it?

CarrieGa, how is it that the pregnancy is safe? Did your OB explain that to you? I am just curoius as to how the body differentiates. I have heard of that happening, but never known or spoken to anyone who experienced it before now. congratulations on your healthy pregnancy!

Well the docs says there is no signs of a m/c, and that as long as i feel fine and ders isnt alot of bleeding then there is nothing to worry about. he didnt explain why some women go through this but he says its not uncommon. i've heard of it before myself but i didn't go through this my 1st pregnancy. I mean Ive had some bleeding but it wasn't every month.

Well being that I had severe preeclamsia my last pregnancy, I see the doc every other week. So each ad everytime I go he does an ultrasound. I won't lie and say Im not nervous everytime thinking something may have happened. But then I try to have faith.

Carrie, My husbands niece had 5 periods before she even knew she was pg. She was going to be put on the pill and they did a pg test first and there it was! She has a very healthy boy. My best friend from college had 3 periods and she had a very healthy girl. Sounds like your Dr is watching you so best wishes for a healthy 9 months!!

I found out at 11wks that I was pregnant this time as well. I was due Sept 29, but he moved it to Sept 22. I guess that makes me about 14wks now. I have the mirena, and it's still in. Had no idea I was pregnant. Just didnt feel well, and went to DR. Low and behold... here I am again. I just gave birth in October, and now I am due in Sept. I have never carried a baby past 35wks, so theres a good chance my two youngest will be in the same grade! I have to see my OB every other week as well. Each time I have an ultrasound. I went yesterday, and there is about a 60% chance that we are having another boy. I found out I was having a boy last time at 14wks5 days. I am not really announcing that this one is a boy yet until my next ultasound... two weeks makes a big difference in something so tiny! Haha Good luck w/ your pregnancy!
