When Does 2nd Tri Really Begin

Okay, as of late, I have been confused as to when the 2nd Trimester really begins. I am from the U.S. and I always thought after the 12th week was the beginning. However, I have heard a couple say 14 weeks? Does my confusion lie in LMP vs. gestational age or does it vary from country to country or what? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Well as fas as I know, the Second Trimester is from 13-28 weeks. Hope this helps.

I agree and it is right.... The day you start 13 weeks is 4 months or 2nd trimester!

yes I'm so confused about this too! I'm almost 11w from LMP so that would be 9 weeks gestational.. Does the 2nd trimester start at 13 from LMP?? I've seen a lot of conflicting info!
