Welcome girls...I'm Stefanie and am 32 years old, due July 4th with a girl (my first child)! Hey all, having a busy day again but I had my appt. today and it's almost disappointing how uneventful it is now. I peed in a cup, was weighed (I don't know how much I gained, but I think maybe 15 in all? Not sure) got bp taken and measured and heard h/b. All was fine and dr. said she'd see me in 4 weeks, BUT they couldn't fit me in for 5 weeks (again) so I got my glucose drink and I will be doing that at my next appt. Funny thing is that I'll be nearly 30 weeks then and it seems all of you are already doing or have done this test? I wonder if that is too late.

Stef - I have to get glucose test done soon, but not til' close to 28 weeks - right before I go back to my next appt. Don't worry I'm sure it will be fine, they probably aren't worried about you having issues because nothing has ever raised alarm in the standard urine tests. My doctor also didn't seem all that concerned about the test - which he said was a good thing. :0) Glad to hear lo is healthy - I have come to love un-eventful doctors appointments!! Precious - Good to hear all is well with you also, and I hope "things" at home continue to get better for you guys. 2 lbs - Not bad!

Amen to that (uneventful appts)! Yeah I wish I'd asked about how much weight I gained. I think i was 152 on the scale today but I don't remember what I was last time. Only last time they told me I'd gained 10 lbs. Today it wasn't mentioned at all. I know i was in the 140s at my 20 week appt. so that is why I guess maybe I've gained 15 in all so far. I can't even remember my starting weight anymore :-S

i went to my wic app yesterday and i have gained 16 lbs so far. she told me that if i gain 1 lbs a week then im right at the "normal" weight gain. that puts me at 30 lbs all together.

kolleen, that sounds like a good weight! I really haven't been worrying about weight too much but lately all this talk of the glucose tests is making me rethink what I eat and if I need to. ah well, oh! I asked my dr. about when to monitor movement and she said that from 24 weeks on is when you need to pay attention. She said that if I suddenly feel like I haven't felt her in a while to lie down after drinking some juice and count 10 movements in 2 hours. If I can't get 10 movements of any kind in 2 hours then call her. I hear different counting methods though from different sources. I thought once I heard 10 movements in 1 hour? Hmmmm, don't know. Ok I'm done obsessing for now ;)

Hello ladies -STEF they do the glucose test on every woman because sometimes women can develop diabetes only while pregnant but if you are gonna get you're gonna get it no matter what you eat but doctors are more concerned when a woman gains a ton of weight quickly as it increases your chances- but since you are a skinny broad it's very unlikely that you will develop GD - that's goes for all of you skinny broads - I am concerned because my grandma had diabetes and I am already overweight .....but so long as they check soon like before 30 weeks I think you will be fine - plus our appts our so uneventful right now do you really need more of them??? LOL I have heard 25-35 pounds is the normal amount of weight to be expected but I have far exceeded that. I have my appt next week we will see how much I gained this month JULIA _ welcome back! glad everything worked out for ya that's great about such a small weight gain - but really if you can 2 or 10 be happy and helalthy.

I meant I exceeded it with my last 2 pregnancies - I gained 80 pounds with number 1 and 50 with number 2 so I am happy that I have only gained 4-5 pounds

Howdy ladies. I'm a July Mommy. I have a 15 month old son who is my sun, moon and star lit sky. We recently found out that the little bundle we are expecting to come in July is a girl. We are very excited and so far she seems healthy and is very active practicing her karate chops/kicks on my bladder.

Hey ladies! I took a look at the piczo pages, how cute. I am so not computer savy. I don't know if I can do that... maybe I can get my hubby to help me. Sometimes he is amazed I can manage to turn on my laptop. lol. So I guess I have the latest due date (july 24th)? Are there three of you due the 4th? Anyway, I live just south of Seattle in Wa. state. I am a sahm, but I was a dental a__sistant for ten years. I quit working when I was 5 months pregnant with my daughter, who is now two. My hubby's name is James and he is the Remote Monitoring Manager for a mechanical company in Seattle called Mckinstry. He works really long hours so we don't see him much during the week. He is trying to change that though. He takes the train to and from work, and the past weeks has been home by 6pm. We have dinner as a family, then he works out for about an hour and a half while I get Madalyn bathed and ready for bed. After that he has some time to play with her before she goes to bed. This is working out much better for me, before this he was getting home after bedtime and I had no help. I just get tired so fast. I hope this schedule keeps up, sometimes I get lonely. His job is so demmanding and I wish we had more time together. Okay, that's enough "poor me" . What is going on with everyone else?
