Im 12 weeks and I already know they are. They are doing an u/s every 4 weeks (lucky me) because twins are considered high risk pregnancies. My appointment is at 10:00, I will be here in the morning and maybe after. I figure if my appointment goes any longer than 12 Im not comming back to work. The last time I had one I was there for 2 hours. It was all about waiting.

My appt is at 9:40 am ET. I'll be 13w6d. My doc doesn't usually schedule one for this appointment, but, since I have a fibroid, I'm thinking she might... The top of my uterus (fundal height, or whatever they call it) is already at my belly b___ton, if I'm feeling things right. For one baby, that is pretty big from what I hear!

2 hours is a long time just to wait... although not too unusual from my experience! My last appt she wasn't going to do an u/s, just the pap... but during that exam, she noticed that my uterus was larger than she'd expected. I ended up having both a transv____al and belly u/s before the morning was over.

Hey Robyn thats cool that you'll get to go every month.....I'm jealous :o) Are you gonna finally find out if they are fraternal or identical.........If so just think only 4 more weeks to know boys or girls or whatif............Could it be one of each??? That would be way cool!! AAnd D that does sound big......I've never experienced that but could you be further along??

hey girls - sorry - i was working and had a quick lunch with hubby - man i miss him during the week! - steph - you aren't at all what i imagined! i thought you'd be brunette for some reason... i think i'll add some more pics - i just wonder who else goes on our sites to peep at us...anyhow - I have a dr. appt. tomorrow at 1:00 pst.. i really hope all your appts. go well everyone who has one tomorrow - i don't get an u/s until next month i think - what a rip off.. wish i knew if everything was ok...

Hey Robyn you had to hold in all that water for your u/s for 2 hrs. R U NUTS??

I think one boy and one girl twin would be really neat! If I was just having twins, I'd have the two kids I want, and I wouldn't have to go through this torture called m/s again! She said it was that large because of the size of the fibroid. The most further along I could be would be 2 weeks if I ovulated early, because my LMP was a real doozy, and I had an u/s and blood tests because of abnormal bleeding a few weeks before that - and I wasn't pregnant then! Course, what are the chances that there COULD be a twin hiding behind the fibroid or something? I don't know, this isn't anywhere near my field of expertise!

The other thing that makes me think I didn't ovulate early is, every u/s I've had so far this pregnancy has shown the CRL to be within 2 days of what it should be...

RB I am currently a brunette so you got really close. I will download a pic w/ my kids from Jan. You'll see! Alot can happen in 2 yrs..........Ohhh and that pic with me wearing the Dr. "formal gown" was from my first Dr. appt 2 yrs ago when I had that miscarriage. Its kinda a cla__sic pic though you know how many pics do you get of yourself while at the Dr.s??

Sounds familiar. My doc is the ONLY OB in the entire county who can deliver at our hospital, so she's in high demand too... So far, though, since I work at the same hospital & coincidentally am personal friends with the doc & her family, I have those annoying things called "connections" and am able to get the first or second appt of the day, and therefore cut my wait time most appts - and if I can't, they let me go back to work and just give me a call when they're ready for me. I know the other women in the waiting room must hate me! I would if I were them... I usually just slap on my hospital badge and walk on back like I'm there on business. :)

I never had to drink water. I have only had one u/s and it was v____al not over my tummy. I hope this time I dont have to hold in water for two hours because then the doc might be in for a suprise. I can barely hold my liquids from the time I realise I have to pee to the time I get to the bathroom!

D - April 14

Hey Robyn, at least they brought the u/s machine to you! I had to go wandering down the hall wrapped in a sheet to get to the u/s room! (Don't let me fool you, I really didn't care!)

rb - April 14

do you guys think i should pay to get an u/s done instead of waiting till next month - i think that's why i have to wait so long here, since it's covered by medical - and you only get one i think - unless there's complications...

jess - April 14

hey ladies!!!! hello.....what a busy day i've had....finally get my lunch break!!! takes so long to catch up on all the posts!! i had to hold mu water for 2 hours for my u/s too........ug....though i was gonna pee right there........its too nice out to be inside........

D - April 14

It kinda comes down to: do you physically need an u/s? if all things are normal, probably not! mentally - well, I think I need one every week or so! How much more does it cost to get one on demand?

RB - April 14

i think i have to go to a place other than my dr. but i heard they have this new 3-d ultrasound for about $200 - mentally i think i wouldn't mind - or should i just save the $ and wait a month?
